Hi fed_up, I've never tried the smokeless tobacco before myself but I'm assuming that the withdrawl symptoms are the same. This is a very good site and the people here are very helpful, especially during tough times. Good luck and stay strong.
Joe,
Hi all,
well it's 23 minutes after 12:00 and day fourteen. I have made it past the first 2 weeks. I feel pretty good. Had a big steak for supper. It was a good time. Well gotta go. Keep strong all.
Joe,
P.S - One day at a time.
Hi Greenette,
Stay strong buddy. Your not alone. I would never tell you not to go to work but you gotta do what you gotta do. Maybe you should do something crazy today. Maybe you should take a rest or hang out with friends. It's going to get better with time. Eventually you won't need it at all. This won't happen overnight but you can do it. I wish I could be more helpful but I just woke up. Stay strong Greenette, you'll beat this.
Joe,
Hi Boldin,
This is a really good site and you will learn a lot. On day one I like to recommend handcuffing yourself to your bedpost. Just kidding. Day one is hard but each day that follows gets easier and easier. It's all about wanting to quit and breaking your normal routine. Now if you are off today it would be a good day to get out the handcuffs. Lol. Keep strong boldin, I'm routing for ya.
Joe,
jojo0195's Quit Stats
Since November 10, 2006, I've been smoke-free for:
12 Days, 19 Hours, 58 Minutes, 57 Seconds.
I have saved $127.92 by not smoking 256 cigarettes.
By not smoking I have added
1 Days, 18 Hours, 31 Minutes, 8 seconds.
to my life expectancy.
Hey Jim,
As per your previous comments I would like to take this time to wish you luck at the black jack table. Be careful though, it would be ironic to take the money you save from smoking and turn it into another addiction. Just kidding, I doubt that's the case. Congrats Buddy!
Joe,
Hi all,
Today was a good day. I had my cold cut trio at subway again. I think I need to be more careful with the food or I'll end up just breaking even. Money wise I mean. I don't know if this will help anyone but when I first quit I decided that I had to find something to do on my break besides just working harder. I personally find it helpful to go and sit in my car on every break(besides lunch)and listen to music on my stereo. That way your not working for 8 hours straight slowly going insane. It helped me anyway just thought I'd throw it out there. I live in Canada but I work for an American company so I will be getting a four day weekend starting tomorrow. Yeah me. Good bye for another day.
Joe
P.S - Stay strong!

Hi all,
18 minutes after 12:00 and it's day eleven. Wow! It's been so long. I know there are many here that have me beat but wow I'm am so happy. I am now getting what I call "Poke Cravings." Every few hours I will get a c'mon type feeling which usually only lasts a couple of minutes. The cravings are kind of a joke now. Ha Ha I'm winning, the demon is getting weaker.
Hi everyone,
Thanks for the words. Just for the record I'm not cleaning any of your cars(lol) but I'll be thinking of you now whenever I'm in mine. I actually do feel more successful now that it's spotless. I'm that guy that usually has 150 popcans and chip bags everywhere. My wife is very happy that her feet can now touch the floor. Lol. Oh and for "McLaughlin" I did take the long way home tonight after work and I actually made a CD of relaxing music for the trip. One of them is a remake of a classic Bob Dylan song. magnet - on your side - lay lady lay (with gemma hayes)(2). So now you can download it and think of this website.
Hi Jaset,
We all have our own individual reasons for falling victum to this. For me personally I've found that after a copy weeks, months, etc. my mind starts telling me that at this point I probably have the power to smoke one or two cigarettes and walk away; however, my mind was very wrong and I went right back. The trick is that now I know this and I'm ten days in. Not listening to anything my mind has to say this time. Good luck Jaset!
