I am new also but have not smoked in 7 weeks. I used the Chantix and had a couple of side effects but not enough to quit taking it. I am weaning off now and the rest is up to me. I still have cravings each day but I forget quickly. Of course I forget alot of things quickly anymore. I smoked for 52 years and don't on EVER starting again. Good luck 1939 Bear. We are the same year.

Today I hit 9 weeks smoke free. I don't know about anybody else but I am still having cravings. Lots of them. I have to talk my self down every day. I know it will get better because everyone says so. I guess I need to take it one day at a time. Anyway 9 weeks, I deserve something, soooo "ATTA A GIRL" for me, from me.

Call Me Mom Mom,
You are tooooo funny. Here is a sad story for all of us weight gainers. My niece quit smoking in Jan. and lost 30 pounds while on the little blue pill. Go figure. No exercise!. How can this be?

Hey Hoppy,
I also have smoked over 50 years. I quit 52 days ago using Chantix. It was much easier this time than all the other times I have tried with different methods. So, hang in there and do it one day at a time. I know that sounds trite, but it works. :)

OK people, when do I get to get off the boat and hit the beach? Is it a 100 days? I'm thinking Monday the 11. Is that right? And what beach is it? I have so many questions. Is the snd white, are there Margaritas and etc. You know what I mean.
