Fell off the wagon....but getting back on....

Yes, I went 58 days no smoking. With ease I might add. Then had a very emotional argument with my husband, who had also quit for same length of time. We buckled after 2 hours and here I am 3 weeks later, trying again. I feel like crap. I was doing so good. The weight gain was hard on me, but I was feeling so much better. Now my headaches are back. I quit exercising. A friend of mine gave me some Chantix pills, but I think they're making me nauseous. So i'm going to try and go cold turkey again. I could really use some words of support right now..... I'm back --Round 3 --- need a pep talk!

Well, I'm back. I quit for 60 days at the first of the year. I am ready to try again. I've chosen my son's birthday as my quit date 6/19/07. He means so much to me, and every time he tells me he's allergic to smoke and tells me my cigarette stinks, I feel horrible. I want to quit for real and forever this time. I need you guys to pep me up and tell me I can do this. Last time, my husband and I both quit at the same time, we nearly killed each other. I'm going it alone this time, secretly I guess, and when he's ready to quit, he will. I'm hoping it will be easier, stress wise. I know this is my battle and I have to do it for me. Sugarnose returns....

Hello, I'm back. I quit for 60 days at the beginning of the year. I have now reached the point to where the cigarettes almost taste bad, tired of my car smelling, tired of my kids coughing and waving their hands in front of their faces, tired of looking at what it's doing to my body, tired of the fear I feel everytime I have a weird pain in my chest. I am 33 for cryin out loud. I should be able to walk up the street without feeling like I'm going to die! I am ready to do this. I am ready to feel great when i wake up! I've set my quit date for this coming tuesday, is there a particular day that might be easier, I didn't choose monday because ya know, it's monday! but maybe that's a cop out????? Glad to be back, could use a fired up pep talk!! My name is Kristilu and I'm through!!

I have set my quit date for 1/7 - but I am thinking I may bump it up and just go for it. I quit this time last year for 2 months. I regret not keeping the quit. But I am not a failure, I am a winner, and I will win this fight. Any advice is deeply appreciated!! :) My Milage: My Quit Date: 1/7/2008 Smoke-Free Days: -3 Cigarettes Not Smoked: -90 Amount Saved: $-24.00 Life Gained: Days: 0 Hrs: 0 Mins: 0 Seconds: -16647

New to the new website, quitting tomorrow!!!

Hello everyone, quitting tomorrow, this time for good. This will be my 2nd real attempt. Got up early this morning to walk/run for about 30 minutes, and thought about making today my quit day, but realized I wasn't mentally prepared yet. So I came here and went through the milestones and I am going to do this tomorrow - no excuses. Anyone used Chantix?

all i can say, is that on my last attempt at quitting I tried chantix, and had the same experience. Felt nauseous all the time. Had to quit taking it. I didn't try it for long, maybe it would have subsided later on, but looks like you've been taking it for a while. Sorry, I know I'm not much help, but thought it might help to know it's not just you that it makes feel that way. Took a jog this morning.....

and my chest was really hurting. Felt like a log was sticking thru me. Just wondering is this a common experience among quit newbies when trying to exercise????
