This is my first day, I am doing it cold turkey. My hubby is on the patch. I am doing good so far, I have been drinking more water to day than I used to drink in a whole week.
The thing that I find strange about quitting, and I would like to know if anyone has experienced it before, It seems like each hour has 120 minutes. I find myself with spare time, and I also find the day drags on, the hours go by slowly.

Hello everyone,
I have decided to quit smoking for quite a few reasons.
I have smoked for the past 22 years, I have tried multiple times to quit, but always started up again.
This time I want it to be "the ONE". COPD runs in my family I have seen the devasting effects of it, and I do not want it to happen to me.
Smoking is a crutch and it is time I learn to stand up without it.
When with friends, I do not smoke because I do not want it to bother them, and I am also ashamed of smoking in front of them, the same for family gathering.
I am doing it cold turkey, I know I am a stubborn person, and I can be stubborn and say no to a cigarette.
What might be really helpful too, is my husband is also quitting at the same time as I will.
