Well so much for this week.. I fell hard yesterday, the winter storm kept us from going to my Auntie funeral and I fell off the wagon... only a minor slip though. I had one last night. I am back on track though.

I'm back

Hi ya all, I didnt get to go to the funeral, we had a terrible storm and the ice was just to much for us to drive 3 hours. I think my Auntie would have kicked my rear if I would have tried. Instead we stayed home and did a pre spring cleaning day. Last night, I thought I was tough yesterday and i didnt use the patch........ WRONG ANSWER! IF YOU USE THE PATCH, DO THE WHOLE PROGRAM! I slipped and had one, but now I am back on track and on the patch. Thanks for all your support and prayers during this time. I just wish I could have said fairwell to her. But that will come in my heart regardless of if I am at a funeral or not. I did get good news at work this week, I was interviewed for a specialist job but later was asked to interview for a Managers job. I am pretty sure I got it, I was asked to interview for it, I didnt ask for it. So I think they really want me for that job, so I will get a very nice raise and then I can add more to my sons car. now on to a new week, heck week was more like hell week than hell week was for me. Sad news

Thank you all very much! I have been told that she was kept on life support long enough to give her donations, she donated two valves of her heart. Two children got those last night. Two children, children she was never able to have herself are living on through her. They are recovering nicely and so far so good. There is nothing more precious than a gift of life. She left this world like she lived it, with passion and love for others. I am hopin that the weather will hold up for this weekend. Its supposed to get nasty where she lived and here as well.. its a 3 hour trip. I am going to get off here to spend some time with the boys but I wanted to thank you all for your prayers and sweet words. I see now that if I can make it smoke free through this, I can make it smoke free the rest of my life.. which I am seeing I almost have a full day more than before. A full day more to make fun of my kids when they get grey hair ; ) My Milage: My Quit Date: 12/31/2006 Smoke-Free Days: 10 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 194 Amount Saved: $45 Life Gained: Days: 0 Hrs: 20 Mins: 53 Seconds: 2

Jeez, the honeymoon is over

Papa... I think we were out of our minds when we smoked! You are only coming back to your mind now! Sure its gonna be a lil cloudy and strange cause its something you havent seen in a while.. why do you think I have such a positive out look on this? Im lost in my mind! haha! You say the honeymoon is over and that might be true but isnt it the experience through out the commitment that makes the relationship so awesome?!?! I actually wanted to yell at myself this eve cause I was getting on my own last nerve with this new and strange positive outlook on this journey. If you saw my first post I said I was scared because it was like I was losing a part of myself... I lost the negative outlook! WOW that was a loss...haha! Ya know we are gonna have good and bad days even if we are smokers! Just look at it like it might be a bad day but how many hours did you add to your life today? hours that you will get to spend making the 2nd honeymoon worth every minute! I put up post it notes all over my house.. I feel like I painted my house bright flippin yellow but they say things that came to mind like you can do it, way to go, another one bites the dust and things my kids will be doin later in life that I want to see. Even if it says "Joe said I couldnt do it" heck you know if its the right person that says you cant do it, you will want to do it even more just to spite them. hehe dont give up now! you are 3 days in .... it can only get better! You saved almost $10.... think about if you were to try to catch up to being the smoker you would have been.. you would need to smoke 58 ciggs really fast to get there and even as a smoker I think we all would get sick if we tried that..lol! Im rooting for ya Papa! GET ER DONE!!!!!!!!!!!! PEACE! I made it thru day 3

Being smoke free for a long period of time before you actually get pregnant is sooooooooo much better for you and the baby. Remember how long it takes to get the toxins out of your body too! You wouldnt put a cigg in your baby's mouth right.. so think about that when you think you could until you get preggo! You are half way through the hell week.. right with me! We can do it! you are tougher than those nasty things! i want to quit smoking

Slivers, Remember how you felt when you quit all those years ago... let that in and really feel it again. I felt like it was a part of me and I would lose a part of me, that was my fear but ya know what... I gained alot more parts in the last 4 days than I have lost! I can smell the good scents again, I keep looking at the money I have saved and how much time I added to my life and that really helps. We all have our own way that will do the trick and you will have to find yours but if you share with us we will remind you of the desires you wish to use that extra money on now or when you are 2 yrs older than you would have been if you still smoked. You know you need to, you want to, or you wouldnt be here asking for help. you wont lose a part of you, you wont turn into a frog at midnight or anything... you will gain life! Did you see that? YOU WILL GAIN LIFE!!!!!! YOU WILL GAIN LIFE! I also posted lil post it notes around my house with positive sayings like...... I want to see my kids get grey hair so I can laugh at them... and you can do it! You have what it takes. You can post all the positive things that you can list on post it notes around your house and see them every day for reminders! I know you can do it! YOU WILL GAIN LIFE! Oh my Goodness

I got into my car this morning and holy toledo batman it STUNK!!!!!!!!!!! I about gagged, of course I didnt smell that before because I had nicogerms embedded into my nose and couldnt smell anything anyway but OH MY GOODNESS THAT WAS GROSS!!!!!!!!!!!!! I think my nose is starting to smell again.. I have my smellers back! Woot!! Day 4 and I had a slight rougher urge today at work than yesterday but I was able to talk myself... wait let me rephrase that, I listened to my heart getting healthier! It told me go smell that stinky car then you wont want one! So I am going to treat my car to a breath of fresh air, because my car deserves it after me making it stink for so long. I dont think the rewards are just for me when I hit a mile marker, I think I should reward my car for putting up with the stinch of smoke and tar. 3 more days and I will have a week under my belt, then I am going to reward ME! Hmmmm maybe a ice cream (non fat of course) I also decided that on pay day I am going to take the $70 that I would be spending and put it in my sons account and post the deposit slip on my mirror so that I can see in the mornings that he is getting closer to getting his car! RAWK ON SMOKE FREE!!!!!!!!!! Pssst... did I mention that Chanel #5 really does smell better than I thought? YAY I have nasal smellers again! After 17 years of not smoking

Rv, sorry to hear about what someone else did... now what are you going to do? Be the winner... ya know I always say kill em with kindness and show em who is the better of the two.. get those smokes out of your life and show him who is the "sexy" one, she might be 23 but guess what, if you quit you will be 100 and still looking like a hot momma! Give him the rope, let him hang himself... you get that rope off your neck and skip rope around him! you are better than him, now show him that! RAWRRRRRRRRRRRR!!!!! hehe Peace Dawn My Milage: My Quit Date: 12/31/2006 Smoke-Free Days: 4 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 85 Amount Saved: $18 Life Gained: Days: 0 Hrs: 9 Mins: 9 Seconds: 5

Oh my Goodness

Yes, all the money is going to his car. This kid is awesome! When my husband was sent to Iraq, my son "K" was my rock, he jumped in at 12 years old and started doing more around the house to help me out, his grades never endured the pain we all felt while Dad was away. He has never (he is a soph) been below a 3.8 GPA... and I think with all his hard work he deserves a car. I have been saving for a while but the $70 every 2 weeks will be all that much better. He will be 16 at the end of Feb and shhhh he doesnt know this but he is getting a car! I cant ask for a better son... so I want to see him drive to success in a nice car!
