Thank you all for the information. I seem to wake up every two hours. Around 3:00, I'll be awake for about an hour, go back to sleep and then go back to the every two hour wake-up call. Have I reverted to becoming a baby again? Last night was actually better though. Had only 3 pieces of Nicorette yesterday. Don't know if that makes any difference or not. Tyler... I'm protecting the quit like a mama bear protects her cub!!
I probably need to write a rent check, as well. Every day I say I'm going to get something done, and I do a little, and then drift back here. Maybe I think sitting here all the time will get me to the beach faster! I'm really going for a walk though in a while. Maybe that will uncloud my head a little. BTW... watched someone at work this morning smoke a cig... told him it smelled kind of good, but I didn't want one, and walked away. Felt good! Hang in there! We can hang out here together!

Hi rvrgrl,
You've come to the right place! There are so many kind and wonderful, supportive members at this site to help you along. Read all the information to the left, fill out the workbook It will empower you with information, even more reasons to quit, and some great ideas on coping, and give you a Plan as you begin to quit again. Read the posts here... they helped me tremendously. It sounds like you've been through a lot the past few months. You are to be commended for deciding to quit smoking again. 17 years without smoking is awesome! You'll do it again! Post your questions, and let us all know how we can help. We are here for you!
Hi 2tone,
First I have to laugh at you answering yourself! Quite cute... I'm on day 5, and here is my mental attitude in this thing: When I got divorced, it was by choice, but harder than hell. I hated the emotional roller coaster, the anxiety, and everything else that goes with it. I know that if I can handle that life changing event, I can handle this one. When the roller coaster hits, as I'm sure it will, I'm prepared (hopefully) to look at it as I did during post-divorce... it will pass eventually. I don't think smoking again will stop the emotional roller coaster, in my situation, because I would feel so guilty and ashamed of myself for smoking that the roller coaster might get worse instead of better. What I'm trying to say, is ride the damn thing, knowing that it will eventually let you off. Exercise, focus, do something that makes you happy, focus some more, meditate, sing, laugh, whatever it takes. Hang in there! I enjoy your posts.
Same to you LF4B! We can celebrate the end of day 4 together! So... if someone asks me if I'd like a cigarette, I will smile sweetly and politely say: "No thank you, I no longer smoke." I'm pretty excited -- smoked my entire adult life and let cigs hold me hostage. I'm in CONTROL now! ha! Thanks to everyone here... seriously. This site has helped so much! I hope I can contribute and help someone else along the way!

Freedom, you are just plain AWESOME! It sounds like a party in here! I'm loving it... I love celebrations!! I'm proud of you! ... and the fork... oh my... I'm still laughing at that one, and who was it that has now grown 2 butts?? Another post that I'm still laughing at. It's so fun to come here and get re-inspired! I haven't been here much today... I had to work sometime! I don't know about you, Freedom, but I may need to attend Support Group meetings for withdrawal from internet support groups! I like it here! Freedom... congrats! That first day is exhilarating, isn't it? :)
Freedom,
I would like to see the answer to this one as well. I can't get myself to settle down and focus on much of anything for very long. I feel like I must have attention deficit disorder. I understand your "condition"! I am the same! Maybe some of our more "mature" non-smoker friends will give us ideas! We are just baby non-smokers still learning.
