Good for you, Lucky! I had little renegade cig icons running around in my head, but I bombed them one day, and now they only peak around a corner once in a while. They are scared to just run around in plain sight like they were doing before.

Monica, I got up this morning, and came here, waiting for my coffee. Was still half asleep, and there was your post about the Clint dream. It woke me up, made me laugh, and pulled me out of my early morning funk that usually takes about 15 minutes to get rid of! So... what will I find tomorrow morning to top that one? I haven't had bad dreams, although last night I had a dream about smoking. I was trying to hide a cigarette butt in somebody's garden???? I have no idea where that came from. I didn't smoke, but had the butt to dispose of. I will be glad when my sleeping gets more leveled out. As long as you are here leaving funny stories though, I won't get too distraught! Glad you are here!

I think you are doing great to have eight days completed! When you get those bad "scrounge through trashcans for butts" cravings, just remember that if you smoke, whatever sent you on the trashcan mission will still be there and need to be solved. When the cig icons in your head are talking to you saying: "pick me, pick me", find something else to do instead. Go outside in the sun or cold or whatever you have, and get your mind on something else. Hang in there! You're doing awesome! Heck week is just heck!

My reward will be to schedule a massage this next week. My other reward is to have AIR again... in spite of the sinus infection. My daughter was home from college over Christmas, and we used to dance... stupid dance... would make up all kinds of stuff and make each other roll with laughter. We didn't dance at Christmas, because I didn't want to cough. Next time we are together, I'll see if she wants to dance! That will be my reward!!!

Good for you on not smoking in the pub! I have to admit, I've found much more support here than with my friends in "real life". None of them smoke and they have no idea or understanding. Stay here and hang in with it... the support is fantastic!
