Having a really tough time

Lashes - It seems that we were writing each other at the same time! Thanks for the encouragement. Let's do this! (That's me trying to sound positive....I really feel pretty lousy;)) I'm also using the patch, it's taking the edge off. Wish I could fast forward the next few weeks! Having a really tough time

You're right. No more stinky clothes, hair, skin, & breath. No more sneaking around to have smokes. We can enjoy a meal without rushing to the pack immediately after. We can spend time with our families without plotting smoke breaks. We can gain extra days, weeks, months, and years to our lives. I'm taking this one hour at a time (can't quite do the one day at a time thing yet). It's great that you're back. I'm impressed that you've achieved months in the past. I can't even imagine making it a week at this point! Let's fight this together!

Having a really tough time

SmilingSpiders, Thanks for your note. It helps to know I'm not alone. I've made it to Day 3. My head is filled with doubts & negative thinking, but I'm trying to fight this. Also, I woke up this morning with a sore throat & sick feeling - I assume this is part of w/d. Wow - I'm really whining a lot. Sorry. Hope you're still hanging in there with me! Having a really tough time

Smiling Spider - Yummy! Peeps are my favorite! I agree...Day 3 is killing me too! I'm actually afraid to eat because: (1) Food is such a trigger for me --- I would always smoke after I ate (even if it was just a snack), and (2) Since my last smoke on Sunday evening, I've been constipated - smoking always helped with that whole thing! I've been living on fruit & fiber since Sunday, but no luck yet! :gasp: I guess this should all serve as a reminder of what an all-encompassing force/control smoking has had over my life. Giving up

Tnranger - Could you wait a few hours before making this decision? My Milage: My Quit Date: 4/3/2006 Smoke-Free Days: 2 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 63 Amount Saved: $14 Life Gained: Days: 0 Hrs: 4 Mins: 52 Seconds: 38

0-7 day not smokers - come here together!!!

HardRoadAhead - I'm also on Day 3 and woke up with a head cold! I figure it's either a coincidence or it's yet another treat of being in withdrawal! I REALLY hope it does start to ease up after Day 3!!!! Dark hole of depression

dswill, Hang in there. I know how you're feeling...I really, really do. You don't need to feel this way. I highly encourage you to make an appt with a therapist or MD for meds. You deserve it! When will it get better?

Hi. I'm on Day #3. This is the hardest thing I've ever tried to do! I'm white-knuckling it every minute of the day. I'm definitely playing mind games with myself...thinking of reasons/justifications as to why I don't really need to quit right now, plotting a relapse over the weekend, etc. Nicodemon is really messing with me! Is it true that things should get a little easier in some way after Day 3? I don't know if I can keep it up at this level!
