I'm trying one more time- here's hoping

Hi there and Welcome Bump! Great decision! When is your quit date? I too knocked out the morning cig. I didn't do it planning to quit, I just did it because, well, I don't quite know...... Anyhow, it sure made it easier waking up in the morning on my first day quit!! You came to the right place. We are all here for you! i dont think i can do this

I'm glad your back Bambi! Picking up the pieces can be so torturing sometimes!! You really have to re-live your decision. Good or bad. It is always a personal choice on the quit meter. I am just very happy you decided to give this another try. I agree with what everyone said here. Your desire to not smoke must outweigh your desire to smoke. Obviously you have the desire to not smoke, or you would have not made it 48 days. Now look inside of you and find that strength and go kick some Nicodemon's A**. Get pumped up and excited about this quit!! It doesn't have to torture you. Embrace it and keep it safe. Gather knowledge and play mind tricks with yourself. Just keep on remembering that you are healing now. Your body is forgiving you. Earn its respect back!! You can do it this time! We are here for you. Here is my hand. Grab it and lets walk down this road together! :) My Milage: My Quit Date: 3/5/2006 Smoke-Free Days: 44 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 1,333 Amount Saved: $143.88 Life Gained: Days: 3 Hrs: 13 Mins: 48 Seconds: 50

Daily diet watch 5

Sorry that I cannot join in, just yet. Every day brings me closer to this thread. I will get there soon..... I have to, or else I have to buy a whole new wardrobe!!! No, just kidding. I am getting a little more organized with my Diabetic meals and snacks, and when I get it into my thick head, I will be here!! I had a question though.... When I read about the stuff you guys eat, almost everyone puts flax on the menu. I was just curious....... I have started to take flaxseed oil, and I was wondering how many use the seed, pills, or the oil??? And some list it like: ww toast, flax, cottage cheese, etc.. etc.. So is that the ground seed?????? :quest: My Milage: My Quit Date: 3/5/2006 Smoke-Free Days: 44 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 1,334 Amount Saved: $143.88 Life Gained: Days: 3 Hrs: 13 Mins: 54 Seconds: 37

THE RAVAGES OF SMOKING

Hello Duffis & Pete, I just came across this. That breaks my heart that your friend was ill. But thankful that he is getting better! Dogs have a natural way of expressing their healing..... I am just glad he is almost back to normal!! I swear I never smoked in my house. This house. This is where my kids live, but before they were born, I smoked away. With the same pets that I have now. I never thought of the smoke that our pets endure! Now that I think of it, they might as well just smoked alongside me. Thank you for posting this. I have a family member that could benefit from your experience. Ok, am I hallucinating?

Hey there Eve! Okay, I too quit cold turkey. Last night my girls were sleeping, and as I was walking through my bedroom doorway, I turned around slightly and out of the corner of my eye, I swear I saw a little girl............. I then turned around again, because I thought it was one of mine, but nothing was there. I kinda spooked myself there. My mind sure is playing tricks on me. Maybe just tooooo much oxygen!!!! ;p My Milage: My Quit Date: 3/5/2006 Smoke-Free Days: 44 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 1,335 Amount Saved: $143.88 Life Gained: Days: 3 Hrs: 13 Mins: 56 Seconds: 49

My first day again!

Welcome joeygee! :) Good for you for taking advantage of your situation! I do recommend completing the tools on the left. They will help you succeed. Your desire to not smoke must outweigh your desire to smoke. If this is true, then hop on!! I would definately call the Dr on your cough, if you haven't already done so. I assume your cough & the icky stuff coming up is due from the bronchitis. Several people have coughed up some gross stuff too, but I'm not sure that happened immediatly when they quit. Congrats on your decision! You are on your way to a new life!! I know what your talking about Eve! I felt like my house was haunted. It wasn't scarey though, just wierd.
