New to this site

Hi Grandma 46 and congrats on your 6 days..My nic is Grandma and today is my second day of not smoking. I'm using the patch and woke up at 6 this morning but I got done around house. I have a list 'cause my brain is not working as well as before. I also keep telling myself that I don't smoke anymore. This is hard but I can do it. Looking for support too. Should find something like knitting to keep my hands busy at night but that doesn't sound like fun..

IT WOKE ME UP IN HTE MIDDLE OF THE NIGHT !!

I am on day 3 today, it is rough been inhaling drinking straws. But to get to the suject of smelling smoke..I had that happen yesterdy when I got inmy car in a parking lot it smelled like cigarettes. I never smoked in the car as I don't have an ashtray. Also was wondering do the cravings last for a year? I see some of you guys who post quit a year ago or are you just here to give us new ones support?

1 week

I made it one week! The nightmares have stopped and I don't feel as shakey like last week when I could hardly type. I went to Wal Mart and got new sweats for a reward. Also I'm cold but that could be because I keep temp. at 65 to save gas. I almost gagged when I had to walk in front of a bunch of people smoking outside the store. Didn't know it smells that bad. I switched to decaf coffee. It helps, and my daughter came over this morning and made Denver omlette since I hadn't eaten yet. Life is good! Next week is Heck week so I'm being cautious. I read these posts a lot. judy My Milage: My Quit Date: 3/5/2006 Smoke-Free Days: 7 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 202 Amount Saved: $14 Life Gained: Days: 1 Hrs: 2 Mins: 45 Seconds: 42

How we doing Smogfree Shamrocks ??

Well I passed the one month mark and it was a rough few days there. I just wish the rain would stop and the sun come out but I know it will happen soon. Been reading all these posts and hope the rest of the Shamrocks are doing great. I'm off the patch too now. judy My Milage: My Quit Date: 3/5/2006 Smoke-Free Days: 36 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 952 Amount Saved: $72 Life Gained: Days: 5 Hrs: 6 Mins: 27 Seconds: 57

It does seem to get better

It must be that 30 day thing! I'm only on day27 but yesterday was scarey for awhile. I parked in a 4 story parking garage and when I went back to find my car it was GONE! Well not really but not where I thought it was. I had the biggest crave ever and I even walked around looking on the ground for a butt. Don't have a lighter anymore either. Then I thought is that gonna help find my car? n.o.p.e. and luckily the security guy arrived and did a search of the other floors finding my car on the floor above. I was so happy to find my car and glad I didn't find any butts. judy Going to a new Ikea for reward

30 Days!!!!!!

great Going Angelic! I'm right behind you too 29 days, although I had a tough one when I couldn't find my car in a 4 story parking garage and was looking on the ground for cig butts. Figured it wouldn't help find car and sure didn't want to go back to day 1. Security found my car on another level. 30 days is a rough spot. Passed on trip to casino with daughter(too much smoke smell) but did go to new Ikea store for reward. Thinking bout getting puppy for6 mo. reward. Been dogless for a year. We are all doing good! judy My Milage: My Quit Date: 3/5/2006 Smoke-Free Days: 29 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 767 Amount Saved: $58 Life Gained: Days: 4 Hrs: 5 Mins: 57 Seconds: 15
