I think taping their picture to your cigarette pack would have the same effect for me. Maybe more...because you could always find another place to put a cig out...but you have to take one out of the pack!

wow colleen, i don't know how i missed this all day! and i'm sorry I did! (thanks rdman for finding it!)
some of what you feel right now is normal. most quitters go through some depression during their journey. depression can be mild or severe. it may be temporary...or it may not. is it possible you smoked to deal with clinical depression? clinical depression is not the same thing as going through the blues. Our (wonderful) moderators here always say if a symptom is persists or seems worse than 'normal', you should see your doctor. For possible depression, they refer you to the sister site www.depressioncenter.net Please check it out.
Please post often and let us know how you're doing.
~sending hope and faith your way~

Back when she was young, she used to do gymnastics. It was second nature to her. She didn't have to think twice about how to do a round-off, or even a double flip. She had a fantastic routine on the uneven parallel bars all the way through the dismount.
Over the years, she strayed from practicing, eventually dropping it altogether.
Years later, she realized how much she missed it. She's been working at it for more than nine months now. She started off slowly, learning the basics all over again. She struggled almost daily. Even though these used to be very routine exercises for her, she still struggles.
Finally, she can do the more basic things as a matter of fact. She doesn't have to think about how to place her feet for a round up. But she does still have to concentrate on sticking the landing after a flip. And the unevens? She's getting used to them, but finds she still needs a spotter, just in case.

Psst...the SSC makes a good spotter, dontcha think? :p Keep practicing, we'll be here to make sure you land on your feet!
