and He Coughs

~handing you a tissue~ Come lean your head on my shoulder, Lady. You've come a long way and you've helped alot of people in here. Keep in mind that by the time we've reached this site, we've already decided that we didn't like the effects smoking had on us. Reaching out to someone that hasn't yet made that decision is even harder. All you can do is plant the seed and give it some water occasionally, hopefully you'll get to see it grow. Enjoy the time with your Dad as best you can. I lived too far from my parents to spend time with them. Stay close here, especially for the first few weeks. You'll learn alot and we'll help as much as you let us! Read, read and post...then read and post some more! We CAN do this! Day 3 and struggling a little

Welcome Annie! The third day oftentimes is one of the hardest. Keep your coping tools handy... sipping ice water helps a bunch! Reading and posting on this site is one of the best things I did for my quit. Stay close here especially during the first weeks! We CAN do this! New to the program

Hey Flashman! Welcome to my favorite site on the net! Congrats to you and your wife on getting through your first two weeks! It sounds like you have lot's of good incentive to stay quit. It's great that you and your wife are quitting. We have several successful quitting couples here. A word of caution...please keep your quits separate. You can have great support from each other, but two quitters in a household can be very stressful too. But hey, you also get double the rewards!! ;) :) Stay close and read, read, and post...alot. We CAN do this! First day

Hiya firefly. Working the program tools to the left here will help you accumulate some coping tools & help increase your motivation. Reading the posts and posting your own will help keep you accountable and determined to succeed. The only thing you have to do to quit smoking is to not smoke. It's very simple....not easy, but simple. so get yourself plenty of stir sticks, cinnamon sticks, hard candies, juice and ice water. We'll help as much as you let us! We CAN do this!
