Finally doing it for good

Hi :) Thank you for your support msg's! My quit date is tomorrow! I have tried a few times over the years most not lasting past 4weeks but my longest period was 4months achieved it with champix but as it made me severely sick stopped taking it after 3 weeks but i didnt think of smoking anymore so thought it was fine, then... thinking that I had conquered it as 4 months had gone by I went on a night out where I was the only non smoker n the group spend all night outside pub/clubs so they could smoke after a few drinks I convinced myself I could do it "just for tonight" you know what happened I was bk on the cigs until late last year when tried champix again but this time the sickness came accompanied with severe mood swings and after only 2 weeks I stopped and quit quitting but now I have my nicotine replacement mini tabs n want to quit for good! So my goals are: For me n my health For my lil boy I'm getting married don't want to be a smoking bride Need to save money And ohh my future in laws also don't know I smoke lol My triggers is stress and the fact I have always used smoking as my only break time system during my hectic day to day life. I am also starting a diet tomorrow as I have alway found that putting that initial weight on sometimes was my excuse to relapse. Ri

Day 1 :D

Hi :) Im new to the site and today was my first smoke free day! It started quite easily to my surprise as didn't crave for that first in the morning but also woke up quite positive and knowing this time will be different! In the afternoon started with the headache and late afternoon felt a bit cranky but overcome it still no cravings by then. Tonight got home got my boy ready and in bed and then my craving hit as I normally wind down with a fag outside after my son is in bed but as the craving hit I called mum instead and told her about quitting fags she was thrilled! My headache is still around and feeling pretty knackered so was contemplating giving up on the wii Zumba workout (1st one ever) but then noticed the pattern of excuse making and pushed myself and feel really happy did as headache is gone! Overall happy only used the 2 mini tabs, didn't smoke stuck to diet and even exercised!!! :) Sending lots of strength and positive vibes in remaining smoke free :)

Day 1 :D

Thank you all Ashley lots of things spurred me to do it this time the usual things: for me, for my boy and also I am getting married and didn't want to be a smoking bride! My fianc as I saw it then nagged me about it but I know that he just worries about how it will impact on my health so this is also a surprise for him as we have a long distance relationship!
