Congrats ! I've only been smoke free for 12 hrs. I stopped on Friday & slipped up. Sounds like you're off to a great start.
Add me as your buddy... Together can do this . Best of luck.
The role played can cause stress when the boundaries or responsibilities are unclear or the individual is required to “wear more than one hat.”
This statement is 100% correct. I am a LPN Clinical Nurse Trainer for nurses in a physicians office group of about 60 offices. I deal with I don't even know how many managers and staff members. I do so many things that I can't even count. Smoking was totally my outlet from it all. I know how crazy that sounds being a Healthcare Employee, but I'm being honest.
I have asked my immediate manager for defined roles/duties for our training team, her response is we're not in that kind of industry we often have to wear many hats.
Though, this makes my quit difficult , I remain hopeful. In just the few days that I have been a part of SSC, it has been a tremendous help.
I will start by saying, I need a do over. Last night, I totally fell off the wagon, I was drinking and smoked several cigarettes .
I am deeply ashamed with myself, I had a slip earlier this week but nothing like last night. Today around noon, I reapplied by patch and will continue to try again.
The most disgusting part was that the cig didn't even taste the same and I didn't get any of the usual pleasure from it. I have spent most of the day in prayer and from here I will move on. So I now declare Sun, June 9, 2013 as my quit day.
Thank You Samantha for your encouraging words. I think it was 100% psychological because I wasn't even having a craving. I really can't explain what happened.
All I know is, I didn't like it and I don't want to be controlled my this addiction/habit .
Thanks Jim, I don't know what that relapse was about , but I've been ok since then. The past 2 days have been bearable. Just gotta remember NOPE !!!
