COVID19 questions and availability of our programs and services

Hi everyone,

Over the past few weeks we've seen an influx in the number of program registrations (no problem - since we are 100% virtual we can handle everyone), and we've also had a lot of people contact us directly with specific questions on COVID-19.

Our members are primarily American and Canadian, so here are the best resources for you to refer to:

For Americans: https://www.cdc.gov/coronavirus/2019-nCoV/index.html

For Canadians: https://www.canada.ca/en/public-health/services/diseases/2019-novel-coronavirus-infection.html#a3

If we have members from other countries who would like us to post government healthcare authority links, please contact us directly and we will post the links.

In the past we have asked that all community posts address the community's main topic. However, we are going to relax the rules and allow members to post questions and concerns about COVID-19 in all of our forums.

To maintain the integrity of the communities we will delete or edit posts that contain spam or advertising for specific products or services. Our support team will actively monitory to forums, however we ask that users contact us directly if they see posts with spam, advertising, or links to information on sites that may be using COVID-19 to prey on vulnerable people.

Please also continue to support each other through our Private Messenger tool.

Best,

Trevor

Social anxiety and social avoidance

Hi JSScorpio,

I see that you've completed More Help Session 5 (Role Transitions) - great work!

Because your situation is at work you might want to take a look at More Help Session 3, which is titled "Resolving Disputes". An exercise that may be beneficial for you to do is the worksheet called "Communication Analysis". I've included it here for convenience.

At the very least, you can being by laying out the situation in detail and exploring what you may have done to improve the situation with your boss. Remember: you can't control her, you can only control you.

Perhaps start there, and then based on what you learn, discuss possible next steps?

Feel free to Private Message me if you have any questions or if you would like some help!

All the best!

5 Days In

Hey Marblina,

First off, congrats on being five days in. From what you are saying it sounds like your are well on your way to making this your last quit. It's important to remember that quitting is a process and you learn from past mistakes.

You sound very well prepared (but are most likely going through the toughest part right now). Staying away from the cabin and other smokers is key, and also avoiding drinking for as long as you can, is really smart.

When I quit (it also took me a few tries) I had to isolate myself from all of my friends and family members who smoked, and I was miserable to around, I stopped drinking for a bit, as that was a big trigger for me.

For me the quit meter was really important. Seeing my stats increase was key. When things got tough I logged in to watch that meter roll and I convinced myself to go one more hour, then I'd go to bed and wake us and see the progress I made over night.

As time moved forward it got progressively better and the cravings were less intense. It's been a long time since I stopped using tobacco, and I can't even imagine taking it up again.

You can do it - thanks for sharing and please keep us posted!

New website for Alcohol Help Center coming soon!

Hi everyone,

Apologies for the slight delay in launching the new community. We are importing over 7,000 users and all of the threads and posts in the community, and it has taken a bit longer than we thought. Our engineers are working hard to fix all of the glitches.

We haven't formally launched the community, but we will shortly.

Some user accounts are working, while others are not. For example:

  • we tested hors controle account and could log in
  • we tested Lyne123 and could not log in
If everyone could go to https://evolutionhealth.care/login and try to log in with the same email address and password that they use to log in to this site, and let us know if it is working or not, that would be a big help. Feel free to post here or email me directly at: tvanmierlo@evolutionhealth.systems.

Thanks - we are almost there!
