3 days away from quit date

Hi Na!! There is nothing else I can add that Shevie hasn't already said! Take his words to heart. You need to know how bad you have to fight.... Unfortunately, it quite up and down most of the time. I wanted to let you know that I am here for you! I will walk with you the entire way. I'm usually logged into the IM in the mornings, but sometimes I leave it logged in all day, if I am home. Please reach to anyone!! :) My Milage: My Quit Date: 3/5/2006 Smoke-Free Days: 67 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 2,023 Amount Saved: $219.09 Life Gained: Days: 5 Hrs: 10 Mins: 13 Seconds: 35

GOOD side effects!

Hi there Sallys_daughter!! Congratulations on making it through your first day!! :) I am glad you feel better today. The habit part of the quit is very hard. However, if you make new habits, it makes it a little bit easier. Only conquer one trigger at a time. But, once you do conquer a trigger, it makes it that much easier the next time. For example, after eating dinner. You probably would go smoke. Now, after dinner, immediatly start the dishes and clean up. Or find something else that is working your hands. Once you've created that new habit of not smoking after dinner, and cleaning up instead, it will get a lot easier. This won't happen overnight though. It does take time. My morning cups of coffee are now spend here. On the computer, at the SSC, drinking my coffee. Instead of out in the garage, smoking about 4 cigs before I have go get the kids up and ready. Stick with it! Stay strong! We are here for you anytime you need us! Then remember how you have AND chose freedom. Your strength and determination is stronger than Nicodemons. You will beat him this time. Even through all of the roadblocks, you will come our a winner of this!! Take care, and way to co Cuddles!! Just need some encouragement

Hi again Mom! Boy, oh boy!!! I would have been sooo pissed off too! I too rent from my hubby's parents, but they would NEVER think of entering our house if we were not there! Hopefully out of respect, but ya never know - we have a 200LB Bullmastif that is very protective of his home!LOL I sure hope today is better for you. I do think you should talk to them. Be respectful and adult-like, but do state your point. It is not okay to enter your home without your permission. Whatever the reason for that, just talk to them. Sounds like everyone here has one of those moms - joyfulspirit has one. I think the same as mine!! Boy - family can be outright possesive, controlling, invasive, but I sure would miss them if they were not here. Even though my family drives me NUTS, I still would be a nutcase if anything happened to them. I'll talk to ya soon, I hope!! I finally downloaded the IM, so when I am around, I have it on if ya want to chat!!! Take care. I am new to these discussions but smoke free since March 1

Hi KCChiefsGal! Just wanted to let you know that I love your name! My hubby is a great big fan of the Chiefs..... Congrats to you! 50 days ---- that is great!!! You are on your way! I love the way flowers smell too!!! I've never been able to smell that much before, but now, I really love Jasmines! I however, do not the taste of some food. Like shrimp. It has been my favorite food since a child. Shrimp cocktail. LOVE IT - or at least I used too. I was soooooo bummed out last time I ate it. I did not enjoy the taste! It made me so sad! And also some crackers, some kinds of cheese. I can't remember all of them, but I know my taste buds have changed!! :) My Milage: My Quit Date: 3/5/2006 Smoke-Free Days: 45 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 1,364 Amount Saved: $147.15 Life Gained: Days: 3 Hrs: 15 Mins: 48 Seconds: 41

Not A Good Day =(

Hi Duckie, I too was very spacey. I still am, although only faintly. I'm not sure on the other symptoms though. I did not have them. Maybe you are coming down with something?? Drink lots of water. And some juice helps too. Maybe throw in an orange? Just in case....... Take care. I hope your day gets better! OMG a work trigger

Eve, I am so sorry no one was here when you yelled out!! Ya know, you posted (a while ago) about surrounding yourself with positive people, well I just wanted to let you know that you truely are one of those! You brighten lots of people's worlds. I'm sure that lady felt it, and the only way for her to respond is to feel more powerful so that she feels she is still the best. Does that make sense?? You do rub off on others. I admire your outlook on life, how you are so enthusiastic, and supportive to others! Keep smiling - don't let anybody take that away from you!! I hope you got the rest you so well needed!! :) My Milage: My Quit Date: 3/5/2006 Smoke-Free Days: 45 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 1,363 Amount Saved: $147.15 Life Gained: Days: 3 Hrs: 15 Mins: 43 Seconds: 58
