Hi KCChiefsGal, Congratulations on your great quit. It sounds like you are doing really well. My parents were at the superbowl when the Chiefs won in I think it was 1969. I went to grade school with the Strams. I am glad you have been reading all the post here, it really does help. I may not post everyday, but I am always seeing how everyone is doing. Keep up the great quit. You sound like you are in the right frame of mind to really make it. Hi KCChiefsGal, Welcome to our quit family. Also congrats on your 50 days. Awesome!!!! By the By, I'm envious of you smelling the lilacs, my favorite flower. I'm watching mine daily now, but they are still little buds. Can't wait til the smell drifts into my open kitchen window. AHHHH Spring!!! Way to go!! 1 day at a time is how you do this...soon you will go for days without thinking about a smoke!! Focus on how much easier your breathing is now. At night when I'm just falling asleep I take these big long quiet breaths.....before I used to cough and choke when I did that......and I drift off to sleep....nicotine free. Isn't it wonderful? thinkin Pink, Leah My Milage: My Quit Date: 8/22/2005 Smoke-Free Days: 240 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 1,683 Amount Saved: $720 Life Gained: Days: 21 Hrs: 4 Mins: 35 Seconds: 41

Glad you finally poked your head in, Chiefs Gal. :) Congratulations on 50 smoke-free days. Fantastic! My wife would be jealous of your lilac bushes. Her sister in Michigan usually FedEx's her a few cuttings each year when they come into bloom. When she had the flower business she could get them to last a couple of weeks by putting them in the cooler except for the evenings we were home. Really made the house smell good (and that was when I smoked). Welcome KC: Congratulations on 50 days.....I smoked for 34 years and I quit 14 months ago and I can promise you it only gets better and better...The thoughts of cigs will get further and further apart and so much easier to push aside. Even still, those crazy thoughts pop in my junkie brain that i would like to have a cig but i just remind myself that I don't smoke any more and the thought is gone!!!! You are gonna love this new life..... Stay Strong....The best is yet to come....
