I will accomplish the Ultimate Freedom in my Quit

Hey wait a minuiut, I think we agreed! You said you were different than me and I said you were different than me! I guess it's like the thing about wishing that there were a safe cigarette. It's just not going to happen. I wish I would never experience a crave, but it's just not going to happen. I have experienced a bunch of them and I have to assume and be ready to experience more. Like I said, I don't know what makes it easy for some and not others. I wish I did, I would do it, take it, say it or whatever it takes. I seem to always have to work hard for everything though and this is no different for me. I didn't mean anything by it, I am really happy for you. Yes, maybe I am a little envyous, the same as by the girls who eat a whole pizza and never gain any weight, or the ones with rich husbands who travel all the time and just send money. But I love you, I'm just in some pain and reaching out. The only crave I seem to have

Zany, Well, if your smoking you like this right? No. Smoking doesn't make any difference really. I had a fight with my daughter and she called me a f****** B****. I thought how much I wanted a cig. because of that. Then I asked myself if i liked being called that any better when I am smoking. The answer was no, that wouldn't have helped anything. I don't like it eather way. I would get rid of that guy anyways, I wouldn't like that if I was shooting herion or anything else. You are doing so great!!! You can find a great guy who will be there at your beckon call.!!! Weekends

Ok, I'm going to bed now but tomorrow starts the beginning of my weekend because I took off tomororrow to go get my son at summer camp. I have been having the worse time with weekends, so I thought maybe I would get some advise and encouragement to begin with. I think the reason I have such a hard time with weekends is that the cigs are accessable to me here at home. I spend as much time away from home as possible but this weekend, I really have to get some housework done. It has been two weeks and these teenagers are sooooo messy. I have been avoiding doing it because I smoked like a chimney while I did housework. Last weekend, I almost didn't make it. So anything new anyone can sudgest? Smoke Time

find the thread that someone bumped today that is about the things the nicodemon tells you. It is funny and it will show you how very not alone you really are. I think that everyone gets these thoughts and craves so we are all here with you. My husband is relapsing Grrr

Wow, Chickstar that is really tough. I know because I am quitting with a daughter that smokes living with me. It makes it really hard to know that I could go get them. The nicodemon talks to me a lot about those cigs in her room. There was a thread bumped today about that and parts of it were really funny but also it told me that I am certainly not the only one who has those silly thoughts and i am not weird. If you can find it, read it. so, I'm here with you. I would probly cave if I were you because now you have the ultimate excuse. I can remember when I was married, I used to think to myself that I get to smoke 10 years after he quits because he was 10 years older than me and got to smoke 10 more years. Now I quit because I want to see him die a long horrible death from cigarette smoking while I will be healthy and free. I will have many more years than him. mama My Milage: My Quit Date: 6/1/2006 Smoke-Free Days: 15 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 600 Amount Saved: $85.5 Life Gained: Days: 1 Hrs: 14 Mins: 9 Seconds: 6

Hello, I'm a newbie!!

Welcome everyone! and congradulations on a great lifechanging decision. I was thinking today that there are a lot of things you can read about and do to improve your health, like take fish oil suppliments, work out, lose weight, eat only whole graines, whatever. But nothing and I mean nothing, improves your health even 1/100 as much as quiting smoking! We have the june-bugs, which is a club for june 2006 quitters. I will bump the thread so you can meet some of the other june quitters. Walls?

I don't know about walls but it seems like my worse day was about 8 or 9 too. I seem to have the most trouble on the weekends, so I am gearing up for that.
