Having extra bad stress and it's making me want to smoke

Sorry, I think I better go to bed now before I do something I will regret. I will look at your responses in the morning and appreciate any I get. I hope things will look better in the morning. Having extra bad stress and it's making me want to smoke

I am having really really bad finacial problems and problems at work. My kids and I are going to have to make some major lifestyle changes and it is extreamly stressfull. It is especially bad because I have spoiled teenagers and they are really resisting this because they have never had to go without before, and now all in sudden, everything is going to have to change. I am also feeling very guilty because some of this is my fault. I blew too much money when things were good and didn't save anything. In the past, I would have sat and smoked and smoked and not faced these feelings. I don't know how to handle them now. Isn't it silly that I am saying all this money problem stuff and then wanting to go spend 26 dollars on a carton of cigs? I don't know, nothing seems to make and sense to me anymore. I also think that some of this is panic. You see, my company is being sold. So if I lose my job, we will really be in trouble. But the truth is, no one knows what is going to happen or if anyone is losing thier jobs. But my check was really short this month because my sales are way down. So we will be struggling just to eat, and I can't make all the credit card payments. Help!!! I would love to just sit in my chair and enjoy a few cigarettes! What a relief that would be! This is crazy THE CRAVE THE CRAVE...

Loving, I am having a hard quit too, but we will both make it. I have alot of people praying for me and so do you. Think about what Christ went though on the cross, and this suffering does not seem so bad. He went through all that so that we could be forgiven for our sins and so that we could get the healing we need from this addiction. "by his stripes we are healed" Love, Mama My Milage: My Quit Date: 6/18/2006 Smoke-Free Days: 26 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 1,078 Amount Saved: $148.2 Life Gained: Days: 2 Hrs: 20 Mins: 34 Seconds: 23

Stepping down on the patch

Thank you, you have been very encouraging. I think I will not have much trouble. I went cold turkey for 16 days before I put the patch on and it probly could not be nearly as bad as that! I am going to try to do just exactly as the directions say because I sure don't want to be addicted to a stupid patch! Maybe the Wellbutrin is going to help some too! Yes, that is very true about the sugar substitutes. I think that is why I had such bad gas! New sence of Smell

Yes, but what is funny, i have to ask my son what each new smell is because it's been so long! i say, what is that smell? he says, it's fried chicken! I say, is that supposed to smell good? he says, yes very. It is that way with every new smell I come across. What scares me is when he doesn't know eather. How many June Bugs are there out there?

I know niks, it was you I was thinking of when I posted "maybe you could download it on a friends computer" also, i am leaving it on for you so you don't have to do it while I am here. I have really made a point of going out with non smokers and also to non smoking places. It's probly easier to do for me because I do not drink, but the ladies I have met at church are great to be around. I have had to change a lot of things about my life, not just the smoking part. I havn't hung around any of the people I hung around before because they all smoke. So I had to make new friends. i tryed meeting some of my old friends for a movie a couple of weeks ago and met them inside the theater where there is no smoking. But even just seeing them gave me a crave because I know they would have given me a cig if I'd asked. So now, when they call I am always busy, at least for now. (maybe forever, I don't know) I love you niks, I would love to get you into our group so IM if you can. Just send your e-mail. I'll leave it up. well well The beginning of day 14..and I really want a cig

Yes loving, I had some feelings about having a june-bug give in too. I was very disappointed. but we can't allow that to enter our minds. We are strong june-bugs and won't ever fly into the fire. I love that your posts even in the middle of craving are getting so much calmer and rational. Have you noticed that? Do a search on yourself and read. I know that you are doing better, even though it may not feel like it sometimes, and I know you are going to make it. I never want to go through week one ever ever again and I know you don't either. That is one thing that can keep us strong.
