Feeling negative.

Anerol,
Davit is right , we are always more critical of ourselves than any outside person....I do the same thing and if there is something I have learnt through all of this, is that I need to give myself a break and love me. Just as you should do....ignore this person who judges you, she obviously doesn't have much of a life if all she has to do is cut you down.
I wish I were there I give her  a smack  and tell her to mind her own beeswax!!!

You are normal, Anerol, probably more normal than many people out there... so you are going over a bumpy road right now... that's okay , we all have our difficult moments and you are working very hard to get to the other side. Kudos to you.
Soon we will do all the things we dream of, without the cross we carry.

My friend sent me an e-mail that said:
" The will of God will never take you where the grace of God cannot protect you"

I thought it was appropriate in this case, you're only given what you can handle and you are doing a great job....don't forget that okay?

Hugs your way and hoping today is filled with sunshine and smiles.

Accomplishments and other Postive Things

Can't wait to get my plants in too but we have rain and snow....go figure snow in May, oh well.
I usually can't get my plants in till the May long weekend and often still have to cover the plants once or twice because of cold weather.

Oh! that sitting by the fire at the beach sounds like such a relaxing way to spend a day. Are you gonna roast any marshmallows???? I can just taste them now.

Hope you had an awesome time.

Topic:Consequences of Stress

Sounds very familiar! It seems for the last 10-15 years I have functionned on high stress levels, never resting when I needed it. Maybe the stress has finally come back to bite me in the behind...and you know it's a darn hard habit to break ( I mean always working that way). The relaxation techniques should help in that area.

Hi, I'm Eric and I'm new

Welcome to the site! You will find many kindred spirits here who are and have battled anxiety. Have you spoken with your doctor in regards to your concerns or is there a mental health service in your area?  I don't know how it works in the U.S. but when I had my first attack I found help at the local mental health service (they are the ones who pointed me towards this site. )They in turn enrolled me in a group session and also I was able to speak with a social worker.
The paniccentre is a wonderful site filled with information and tools that you can use to help get a handle on your anxiety, as well there are many on the forum who can help because they themselves have gone through it. I am myself working through it now and have been for a little while.....it does help a great deal. I am sure though many will tell you to be patient and follow the program.....it takes time and a lot of work but the fact that you posted means you are willing to make the effort.

Hang in there , post as often as you like ...there will always be someone here to listen and encourage you.

Hi, I'm Eric and I'm new

You are strong enough, trust me, you really are. Anxiety has a bad habit of trying to make you believe something that isn't true... you don't have to buy what it is selling you. Start the program as soon as you can, write down your thoughts too.
I also found that chamomile tea helped a great deal , so much so that I have stopped drinking coffee and use the chamomile tea. I wish I could be there to help you, I know what you are going through . If it is just too much , I so encourage you to speak with your physician, he/she may be able to help you as well.

Feeling negative.

I am so glad to hear that all is working out for you!! Awesome. We can amaze ourselves when we choose to confide in our loved  ones...usually they are more than willing to come to our aide , they were just waiting for us to ask.

What does your Avatar Represent?

Well my avatar is my furry soul mate, Shadow. There are days when I'm feeling low and on the verge of tears and driving up the driveway I can see that furry little face in the kitchen window, just waiting for me to come home. How can you not smile seeing that? I am hoping to upload one of my paint by numbers too, doesn't sound like much work but it is .

So Sleepy....

I didn't want to take meds either in the beginning because it was my hip meds that caused this whole commotion , but as my Dr. said you can't heal if you don't get your sleep....so I started taking the meds. At first the amitriptyline ( I thought was working) but little did I know that it can take up to 5 weeks before a person really feels the effects , in turn I had to take anti-anxiety medication too. I fought it, I must admit but now I am feeling much better and I can finally absorb the information from the paniccenter and my group.
The medication is not a long term thing, he told me, it is just to  help you over the hump ...you still have to do the work of healing and dealing with the anxiety. I admire those who can do it without meds, but it surely is not an embarassement if you need them at first.
I wish you all the luck with your meds. and if you just don't feel right , call your doctor ...there are other choices.
