I truly feel for you, been there, just don't give up. I finally succeded when I cut back little by little. Over time time I went from 1 pack a day to 12 then from 12 to 4 a day. One day I got up , was so done with worrying about when I could have my next puff that I quit altogether.
I also keep a brand new pack in my bedroom drawer ....just knowing it's there really helps me. I also use the Nicorette gum , so if I am having a bad craving I pop one in my mouth.
I smoked for 47 years and finally had to bite the bullet when my Dr. was having trouble controlling my blood pressure. The damage is done for me I'm afraid but could have been much worse.
Different methods work for different people, just take your quit to a different method. You can do this, it'll be a year for me soon before you know it you'll be there too.☺
I made it ...one year smoke free ??. I never fathomed making it to this day, never mind quitting. It wasn't the easiest thing I've ever done , no question, but I think I was mentally done with it.
I realize it is an ongoing effort, but with the support structure I have , I pray to continue the battle.
