Am confused

Thanks Davit, I will do that. I did journalize while I felt like  but I didn't really put down what was going on in my head just how down I was at the time. Maybe it was just anxiety after all... those intense physical sensations like muscle tension in the back of the head and shoulders  are what  usually gets me going and then I start thinking that I will be like I was two months ago . When I'm calmer I know that won't happen because I do have some coping skills and am working hard at it.

Maybe it's just a hormone day too  who knows. Don't know if men have such a thing as hormone days .

In any event , thanks again, my friend...I can always count on you!

Wish me luck

Thanks guys!
Anerol,
I like my group alot...it took a little while at first but we have made friends and it's nice to be surrounded by people who understand what your going through...all the ups and downs. I still have two weeks on my first group, the other doesn't start till June. One lady in this group will be going to the sessions as well , so that will be nice.
My goal, I think,  in this new session will be to overcome my anxiety about the surgery. I need to work that out before I get my surgery date.

I wish you were here, I'd bring you with me, in a heart beat. I'll keep you in my prayers and maybe something will come up that you will want to join.

One thing though, my friends here are priceless and I value your care and concern very much. Hugs to everybody

Having a crappy day so far

Here comes the venting!
I got 3 hours sleep last night if that , yet when I went to bed I was very tired but couldn't manage to doze off till about 1:30 a.m. This morning is the pitts, very anxious and depressed....I don't even want my husband to leave. God, will it ever end?
Too boot , I have lost my appetite ( still am forcing myself to eat...yuck ) and got the bathroom trots.
I just don't know where to go from here....tried the breathing and relaxation and nothing seems to help right now. I'm so sick of this.

Sorry, just can't see the bright side today

Having a crappy day so far

Davit,
Thanks for the shoulder and I am really sorry that you're not feeling good either. I guess, when I'm like this I only see me and reading your post made me realize that others have it worse than me and can none the less shoulder someone elses pain. You are an angel ! I'm hanging in there as best I can, the morning was awful , so my husband stay home to do work around here and keep me company. All of a sudden the tension in my neck and shoulders subsided enough so I laid on the couch for about 1 hour in a.m. and just did relaxing.
After lunch I felt a bit better so I put on my MP3 player and headphones, then headed out back to take it out on the weeds.
I'm just so darn tired. I do have some clonazepam left from before...I will try and tough it out till later tonight and if the same thing happens I will take .5mg. I was saving those for bad days, I guess that qualifies. I don't dare take it too often cause I only have 7 left.
I think you are right it is fear of fear and depression. The social worker I called told me to focus on the now and to not " what if". I just wonder if it was just the pills making me feel better.

Sunny,
Thanks for the support , I will try and do that.

Ashley,
Maybe that is what is missing.... having something to fulfill me. I appreciate your kind words but I don't know what that kind of day would be like ,but it sure wouldn't be me spending all my energy and focus on me, that's for sure.

Cleo,

Thanks, I know the people here are awesome....it means a great deal.

Having a crappy day so far

Hi Davit,

It ended better than it started. Took advantage of doing a little outside work. There wasn't much anxiety in the latter part of the day, just alot of fatigue. Went to bed early, just to give my leg a rest but the darn thing insisted on annoying me. Finally at 9:30 I took one of my pills. I knew that without sleep the morning would have been hard. So far today I feel more like myself trying to remember to stay in the now...no sense "what ifing". That's harder than it sounds, didn't realize how often I did that

I hope your day is going better, today and that you are able to enjoy it.

Thinking of you, my dear friend....keeping you in my prayers.

Already quit for 6 months before joining this site.

Hello everyone!
I have been smoke free for 8 months as of today but I still rely on a support structure of fellow non smokers. I am very pleased to have found this site since the one I was using changed their site and I no longer find it helpful.
I do hope it's  okay to join now, I'm  looking forward  to meeting you all.
