Hi there!
Well, I'm 34. I too, at almost one month quit after 18 years of smoking, feel better than I ever did. Even in my teen years!
So I am proud to tell my age. (That and I dont look a day older than 25!) ;)

Welcome Princess,
I understand what you are going through! You have to be strong and fight. Fight one craving at a time. Of course they will come, and mine too did last longer than 5 minutes. They were one continual craving that lasted almost all day. But this was only for the first day. On the second day, they lasted about 1 hour at a time. Then on the 3rd day, it was about 10 minutes, etc, etc, etc.....
They are now a distant thought. I still get them, but it is thought now, not a craving. Just the junkie talking.
Take one step at a time. Have your plan ready. Come here and read and post. Make sure you have water at all times. Take a walk. Take a nap. Read a book. Take a bath. Scream. Punch. Cry.
Just do not allow yourself to smoke. It shouldn't be an option.
N.O.P.E. Not One Puff Ever
That is how we quit. :)
We are here for you. Please take our hand and we will walk through this journey together!

So true, So true!
I had a roommate, long ago, who was the most selfish, negative person! I never knew that about her because she was always laughing, was beautiful (on the outside) and seemed to have a wonderful life. But when we lived in the same house, the true person emerged.
She always said "What about me", "I deserve it", etc.... So it rubbed off on me. I got myself into debt by saying those very same words. Everything she did, she did for herself, because she "deserved" it. She would always look on the down side and take what she wanted because she deserved it.
I truely became another person when she lived with me. We soon got into an arguement, and I booted her out. I learned later that she had stopped taking her meds for bi-polar disease.
That sure does explain her behavior. It took someone to point out how selfish and negative I was before I realized what had happened to me. I quickly threw that other me out the window.
I truely agree that surrounding yourself with beautiful, positive, spiritual, inspiring people makes you feel like a better person. It does rub off on you, you just have to let it.
