Having a really tough time

Welcome Struggling, smilingspiders, The first few days are soooooo hard! There isn't anything easy about quitting. A wise Lady always says, "Your desire to not smoke MUST outweigh your desire to smoke." Without that, you are just fooling yourself. Now let me tell you, you don't have to go into day 1 with that. I sure didn't. But I took one minute, litterally, at a time, and here I am today. Within the first 3 days, I came to my scenses. And I truely believe in her quote. You can do it. Rusty wrote everything. The nicodemon will try to say anything to get you. :eg: It is all lies. Do not fall for it. Stay close by here, someone will always respond! :) My Milage: My Quit Date: 3/5/2006 Smoke-Free Days: 31 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 944 Amount Saved: $101.37 Life Gained: Days: 2 Hrs: 12 Mins: 47 Seconds: 47

ROI - Return On Investment

Never thought of that before! Very interesting. I did mine, and I have spent 3,135 minutes, or 52.25 hours, or 2.18 days smoking. That is sick!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! No wonder I have so much time now. I am speeding up my quit date

Well hello again Gogga! That is wonderful that you are moving up your quit date! You do sound ready. There must be something in the air lately. I know of 4 people, myself included, who caught this nasty chest thing. Mine, however, was over in 8 days. And no antibiotics. Doc said viral bronchitis. I was so happy as this is the VERY first cold/chest thing I have had in 18 years that did not develop some sort of hacking cough!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Needless to say, the 2 other who smoke, well they hit 12 days today of hacking. Both are now on antobiotics and codine cough syrup. This is one more proof for me that I am healing. This was the best decision, and it is for you too. For everybody!!! You can do this. We are all here for you! :) My Milage: My Quit Date: 3/5/2006 Smoke-Free Days: 31 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 943 Amount Saved: $101.37 Life Gained: Days: 2 Hrs: 12 Mins: 42 Seconds: 52

Day 1 again

Hi Shmoopie! I am sure glad you came here! You sound like you are on the right track! I felt very spacey. I still do a little. But the first 2-3 weeks, I was not all "there". And yes, dizziness was part of that. It is normal. Part of the healing process. Hang in there. I can't say how long it will last because I still have it, but it's not that bad anymore. Either that or I am used to it now!LOL Stay strong! Come here often. :) My Milage: My Quit Date: 3/5/2006 Smoke-Free Days: 31 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 943 Amount Saved: $101.37 Life Gained: Days: 2 Hrs: 12 Mins: 42 Seconds: 12
