Parola,
You are doing great! Day 1 is almost over. I know I spent a lot of days sleeping and crying. Somehow these go together with quitting. You will get through it!

Hi Alexa!
Just as everybody else said, there are good days and there are bad days. Each time you overcome a craving, it makes Nicodemon think he has to come on stronger, ya know, to get you back. Just fight it, one by one.
I do think by what you said, "I, like some of the people on this board, quit not because I wanted to but because I understood that I had to. I liked to smoke." that you are romancing your smoking. Deep down you quit because you didnt want to smoke anymore. "Had to" quit is just your reasoning for doing so. You have made it 20 days without smoking. That is great! It does say that you dont want to smoke!! I also think most of us say we "liked to smoke", but that isnt from our minds -- it comes from the addiction. It is the addiction we satisfied when we lit one up. We had to replenish the nicotene is our bodies when it got low. So that "aaahhhh" feeling is what we associate our "liking" to smoke with. Its just addiction.
Once you stop thinking you are missing out on smoking, and take it for what it is, NASTY, DANGEROUS, SMELLY, DEATH. You will come out ahead of Nicodemon! You need to not "miss" it anymore........
Keep strong and fight it. You can do it! ;)

Great post Lady!
ChickenStix took my words exactly! My hubby told me to stop talking about it around smokers because I come off demeaning to them.

Congrats kduly!
I guess today is day 11 for you. Nice job!!
I am now coughing, but I think it is more of a chest cold. It has lasted 9 days now though. I hate it!!
Again, maybe just the chest cold, but I am suddenly tired. For about 1 week now, I can't seem to wake up - all day long. I am definately not all "there".
Oh the dizziness!!!!!! I still have it. However, I developed the spins when I was pregnant, 4 yrs ago. The Doc told me it was my hormones! Maybe, but when it is bad enough for me to puke, they ought to help me! Anyway, I still have the spins, usually only when I lay down though. As far as dizzyness, yeah, almost all day long.
Thank you for posting this, as I benefited from it too.
Good luck & congradulations!
