Failed 1st day

Hi Harley, first of all can I just say congrats on coming back and not giving up giving up. I know exectly how you feel having to give up too many things at once, I have to as well but not the same issues as you. In my experience you have to focus on one issue at a time otherwise life is that intolerable that you end up failing. My worst time for smoking was at a weekend so I started my quit on a Monday so that I had 5 days under my belt by the time te weekend cme around again so I think that for you to start tomorrow is a good move. Good luck, if you need any help or encouragement, you know where to come. :) My Milage: My Quit Date: 2/6/2006 Smoke-Free Days: 11 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 137 Amount Saved: 27.5 Life Gained: Days: 2 Hrs: 2 Mins: 6 Seconds: 10

still good

Judy, I agree with that, 20 days takes some doing (19 days is bad enough). I am still getting fairly strong cravings but am not going to give in! looking forward to the day when they do finally go. The best deterant is that if we do give in then we will have to go through it all over again - and we don't want that do we ;) My Milage: My Quit Date: 2/6/2006 Smoke-Free Days: 10 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 127 Amount Saved: 25 Life Gained: Days: 1 Hrs: 22 Mins: 22 Seconds: 54

DAY 3!

Well done Matt - this really is a case of mind over matter. I still have craves and temptations but whatever is thrown at me I am determined not to smoke - at any cost. You must be really proud of yourself to have coped with this, I know I would have been. newbe

Welcome and well done on finding all your fellow quitters and new found friends. The key thing here is to post when you need advice or just to update us on how you are doing. There is a wealth of experienced quitters from those that are at the same stage as you to some very experienced quitters. I have found it invaluable to be amongst folk who have and are experiencing the same feelings that I do and I am sure you will do too. :) My Milage: My Quit Date: 2/6/2006 Smoke-Free Days: 10 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 128 Amount Saved: 25 Life Gained: Days: 1 Hrs: 22 Mins: 45 Seconds: 27

I'm back... A year older but as dumb as ever

Hi Neek, I am new so don't remember you but welcome back anyway. You are not dumber because you came back - with the experience behind you that actually means that you are smarter this time.
