Will I must run out of tears eventually.

Hi Chick, first of all give yourself a great big pat on the back for getting through what will by now be 8 days, that is some achievement and you should be very proud of yourself. The previous posts are spot on, when you need to speak to people who understand then you know where to come! I too have a non smoking family (ie never smoked) and although they are supportive they cannot understand exactly how I feel. What helps me is to keep as positive as I can about these symptoms and to believe that they will eventually go away. You have to otherwise it is just complete torture without the prospect of ever ending. I get great inspiration looking at posts from those long time quitters, try it because there are some really inspirational and comforting words. You can do this, we all can :) My Milage: My Quit Date: 2/6/2006 Smoke-Free Days: 14 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 170 Amount Saved: 35 Life Gained: Days: 2 Hrs: 13 Mins: 58 Seconds: 37

Thought of the day

Hi All, it's the start of a new week and I thought that a few inspiring thoughts would help us with our journey! Winston Churchill Never give in! Never give in! Never, never, never, never - in nothing great or small, large or petty. Never give in except to convictions of honor and good sense. Dr. Robert Schuller Tough times never last, but tough people do. Zig Ziglar Will you look back on life and say, 'I wish I had,' or 'I'm glad I did'? Keep strong and stay quit :) My Milage: My Quit Date: 2/6/2006 Smoke-Free Days: 14 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 171 Amount Saved: 35 Life Gained: Days: 2 Hrs: 14 Mins: 19 Seconds: 18

Hello Everyone!

Hello and congrats on making the first and most important step. This is a great site simply because there are lots of others doing exactly what you are doing and therefore can relate to all the trials and tribulations. Most of us have tried to quit several times before, but just remember that you only need to be successful once! If you need any advice or support this is the place to come! Just need some encouragement.

Hi, it really is a rocky journey isn't it! how fantastic that you have gone for more than a month. Just try and keep focussed and, if you can, enjoy beating back the cravings. Just think how proud you will be to have beaten them once again and proved that you control your life not some foul smelling cancer sticks. :) My Milage: My Quit Date: 2/6/2006 Smoke-Free Days: 15 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 187 Amount Saved: 37.5 Life Gained: Days: 2 Hrs: 20 Mins: 22 Seconds: 23
