Hi Matt and welcome to our community, congrats on stopping. Only 2 hours!! thats great and takes a lot of willpower to begin with. The way we work here is to just take it minute by minute and hour by hour. If you go onto the 'Introduce yourself' area there is a thread for those of us who started this month, we are forming our own sub group and you will find it helpful quitting at the same time as the rest of us. I too couldn't concentrate on my work to begin with but it is getting easier, even though I am at work writing this!!
Anyway, good luck and 'see' you around

In my book the most important thing is, like all mistakes, that you learn from it. I think that it is up to you whether you reset the meter after all, the meter is actually for you, not for us.

Hi Ang, A Feb quitter reporting in - congrats on 2 weeks. I agree with Lady, you have chosen not to smoke and as you have lasted for 2 weeks have proved that you can manage without somking as well. I still have craves but I do not want to stink (well, not of cigs! :eg:) or have to go through the quitting pain again, so I will not smoke again - N.O.P.E. not me.

Hi Harley and a very warm welcome. Making a start certainly does count for something, we all have to start somewhere. You will find this site a lifeline and I would encourage you to visit often. You see, all the folk hare are in the same boat as you at the same time as you. No one else can understand better what you are going through and offer advice gained from quitting themselves.

Hi Marie, welcome to our non smoking community. You have had good advice already from some experienced quitters. I am obviously at a fairly early stage and still find it a challenge to stay quit, but what I find helps is to think about what the last 11 days have been like. I will never stop wanting to quit, so if I have a smoke now I will have to go through the past 11 days over again and that is enough to put me off starting again. Keep coming to this site on a daily basis, it really is a lifeline.
