i would like to stop, but how?

mianne, Just stop smoking. You will get a bit of withdral from no nicotine in your system but this will be like a battery gradually losing its charge. Those who refuse to allow any nicotine back into their bloodstream have 100% odds of remaining smoke free today, tomorrow & Always! ;) My Milage: My Quit Date: 1/1/2005 Smoke-Free Days: 426 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 10,674 Amount Saved: $2769 Life Gained: Days: 61 Hrs: 4 Mins: 18 Seconds: 56

Do I need to make new friends?

Firstly, who says you can't be social with your friend(s) in a non-smoking environment !. Your friends need to accept that you don't smoke anymore, just as you accept that your friends choose to smoke, if not.. thats life ! Stargazer, do what you have to do to not smoke, if that means not being in a smokey bar breathing in smoke with your smoking friends - so be it, they should understand this. Unfortunatly smokers stick together in groups so you may even find that new non-smoking friends are the answer. Fortunately smokers are a dying bread.. so who knows, your'e friends may be in your position in the not to distant future (& they will)... you may be all the help they need. :8o: Remember that this is all about you, not them. ;) My Milage: My Quit Date: 1/1/2005 Smoke-Free Days: 427 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 10,690 Amount Saved: $2775.5 Life Gained: Days: 61 Hrs: 6 Mins: 24 Seconds: 3

Three Weeks!!!!That would be 21 days!!!!

Hi there Phillip,
The Journey is for me the destination and the journey is continuous.
What you say is so true.. I had to learn to stop fighting my quit, once i realised "the journey" i was able to gain a control over my life once more - the moment of revalation. Great attitude !. :) My Milage: My Quit Date: 1/1/2005 Smoke-Free Days: 433 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 10,829 Amount Saved: $2814.5 Life Gained: Days: 62 Hrs: 1 Mins: 34 Seconds: 29

I just want to cry!!

Hi there SanFernandoRed, yup..it's terrible, we've all been there & most of us will honestly admit to the emotional battle scars. You're going through nicotine withdrawl (hardest part). Cry, sleep.. do what you have to do to not smoke. I recon the harder the withdrawl, the better chance you have staying quit. Cigarettes are no longer your friends, they're you enemy - keep strong. ;) My Milage: My Quit Date: 1/1/2005 Smoke-Free Days: 433 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 10,840 Amount Saved: $2814.5 Life Gained: Days: 62 Hrs: 3 Mins: 6 Seconds: 24
