Oh I definately see a permanent quit now. If someone asks me "do you smoke" I say "no, I don't". Early on in my quit, I'd have said "I used to". Not anymore. Now it's just "NOPE" N.O.P.E. Would you look at that...my meter says 60 days! Can that be right? Oh wait...YES it can! Last night, I had the strangest dream about smoking, I woke up this morning and actually had to check the clothes I was wearing before going to bed just to make sure they didn't smell like smoke! What a realistic dream I had! Guess it's my body's last ditch effort to get me to smoke huh? Well NO WAY!!! I can almost smell the salt air from the beach! Boy, that beer is going to taste extra yummy when I get there!! Thank you EVERYONE for all the support you've given me over the past few months...I've fallen down, gotten back up, fallen again, and yet here you all were...waiting for me to come back. Thank you everyone. I do feel like I've accomplished something really good here. My reward was going to be a new pair of tennis shoes but alas, I couldn't find any that fit my short, fat, flat, feet. SO, I got a beautiful purple (my favorite) chenile sweater. I absolutely love it. And you know what? It doesn't smell like smoke and neither do I! N.O.P.E. Awww, thanks Chickenstix! I really appreciate your wanting to do something fun and "smiley" for me. Just know that I'm smilin' big here. Each day that you go without smoking is a HUGE accomplishment. And trust me...it is never "only" any amount of time that you've not smoked. It's the most outstanding thing whenever you can say "hey, look...I haven't smoked in (fill in the blank) minutes, hours, days, weeks, months, years, whatever. It took me a few "practice rounds" to get here but I know that it would not have been possible without the wonderful support I received here. The caring people who take their time every day to help each of us here on the SSC are awesome! I'm proud to consider myself a member of such a great club!! N.O.P.E.
