I'm with PrincessC,
grrrrr... Don't always believe what you hear from the media or those so called 'tobacco studies',
It's scary but i personally know lots of people who have never smoked a day in their life who have had, had or got cancer.. & i know even more family & friends that smoke that have not got, got, had or ever had cancer & there ain't no smog in the country i live !
It appears that most of us will die or get cancer (1 in 3 in fact) & yes this means even those fortunate humans out there that have never smoked in their life...
let the media explain that one .. :8o:
The medical profession cannot explain why cancer developes.
Personally i'll be glad if i make it past 60

i'm not going to lie.
It was & at times still is the hardest thing i've ever done in my life, at no stage has this process been easy.
I quit Cold Turkey because i new it was going to be &^@*!* hard stuff, i decided - Why delay it ?. & the stupid thing.....
the only reason i don't smoke anymore is because it's such a flippantly anti-social habit / addiction / hoby... whatever you want to call it.
The news around the world can be so depressing these days, i honestly feel that if smoking was still acceptable - i would light up in a second. :8o: but the non-smoking masses have made it pretty clear - smokers are a sub-human part of the human race.
I guess we all know first hand, substance addiction is a horible thang.

I think most of us here are 'restart' ex & ex ex smokers.
Keep it simple..... You either want to smoke or you don't.
Try Cold T

We give up smoking cos... we don't want to smoke anymore ?
Personally i don't care for these 'never-smokers' who preach re: smoking & smokers, so i won't go into it & unfortunately it aint thier fault they act like they do.
You cant give up smoking to please other people, you will feel deprived in your quit.
We all give up smoking cos we wan't to.
dispell the 'i want a cigarette thought' from your mind.
Train yourself to expell this thought as soon as you feel it coming on & think about something else, anything else.
it will eventually become automatic, you will no longer get a chance to think of 'i want a cigarette'
It's o.k. to think about smoking, smoking thoughts will consume you for around 6 months.
As a smoker it was all you ever thought... were, when & how am i gonna have my next smoke, when we wanted a cigarette we had to have one or the **** hit the fan... anyway - get used to the fact that you will still be thinking of it.
As non-smokers we eventually re-train our minds to think ... "i don't smoke anymore, so 'cut it out"
peace.
Hi guys, i would say - don't go substituting one bad habit with another, heaps of Fruit & vege is a.o.k.
With overeating, not only will you 'put on the pud' but you could end up regretting your quit cos of weight gained ... no fun!
Exercise is good if you want to do it + it makes you feel good.

Substitue all things chocolate with all things fruit.
You are simply craving all things sugar..
It is a known fact that by smoking a cigarette we triggered our body to release sugar reserves into our system, you don't smoke anymore so you aint getting any of these reserves - hence youwill get light headednes & the obious lack of concentration.
Drink heaps of orange juice to up you bodies sugar reserves.
When we stop smoking our bodies have to re-learn how to adjust these natural occuring sugar levels agin.
