Hi Chicken, there is not much I can add except that I think you know yourself what the answer to your agony is, these great posts should give you the encouragement you need. I would however like to leave you with a quote from Abraham Lincoln: 'I may only walk slowly, but I never walk backwards' My Milage: My Quit Date: 2/6/2006 Smoke-Free Days: 31 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 374 Amount Saved: 77.5 Life Gained: Days: 5 Hrs: 16 Mins: 27 Seconds: 44

OK.. let me ring that chicken neck !! lol You are just going through a bump in the road.. There are things you will always like that are bad for you.. but probably not as bad as SMOKING !! Take it from an old hippie chick here.. straight out of the 70's... It's a bad scene man.. it's not groovy.. the colors on the cigarette pack are there to blow your mind and trick you up.. make love not smoke rings !! Save the whales and save the kids from the smokes ! Don't do it.. it ain't your bag man.. it's not anyone's bag !! Spring is coming and you will want to breath baby !! Quitting is far out man !! Hang in there.. smoking's a bummer !! But, ROCK N' ROLL WILL NEVER DIE !!! Hey Chicky............I would like to thank U for getting this topic going! I am FEELING the same things U are saying but, UNDERSTANDING all of the things our comrades are saying. And this is where U have to decide which is more important........satisfying a physical urge which needs to be fed over and over again and will not let U go once U give in to it OR are U going to do the smart thing and be strong and not let this Thing control YOU? U are worth more than that! Thank U so much to all of U Great Survivors for all of your words of inspiration and insight...........without knowing it U have at least helped me to NOT smoke today. Thanks for the positive reinforcement and kind-hearted guidance. Bless You All. Cheers, Pat Hope that someday, I can pass it along to someone in need and keep the Chain of Hope, Help and Kindness going. This will pass. So it sounds like you are in your thirties. You can quit now or you can keep starting over and over like I did until before you know it you are 49 before it finally takes and you could kick yourself for waiting so long. I have been in your shoes more then once. I really do know what you are going through. 24 days is so great. Stop and think do you really want to have to keep starting over. You really have done a good thing quitting. yup. it's hard. no one has ever said this is easy. this is your decision to make. it doesn't matter one whit what any of us says to you.....you are in your skin right now.....and only you can talk yourself out of smoking. It's hard and the conversation you are going to have to have it tough. But it's your call to have that chat or not. Good luck......I hope you can convince yourself to stay with this quit. It DOES GET BETTER. Oh My you poor Chicken I don't know whether you need this... or this....... or this..... so I will give you all. lol. Butterfly said it all so well, I don't have much to add except...... I know you are a smart chicken, with a great attitude and wonderful sense of humor who absolutely KNOWS that all this is just that evil junkie voice talkin'. You KNOW that this will end. All of us here have experienced this voice a few times too. It will try to break you down. It will let you beleive that now that the "newness" of your quit is over, what's the use of fighting these craves. You KNOW all the answers as to why it is worth fighting for. Hang on girl, you CAN and WILL get through this!!! redrosie This chicken may feel plucked right now, but she WILL get back up!!
