My wife and I noticed that although we pay more at the pump these days we actually spend less at the register.
I would suggest to firmly set a quit date instead of saying "When this carton runs out". Buy a single pack if you need to or in our case run water over the remaining pack!
For me, a firm date works best but I suppose that it to the individual.
If you are afraid of "Wasting money" by destroying remaining cigarettes. Think again how much money is wasted by being a smoker!
You are paying cigarette manufactures with both cash and health.
Does it really make sense that you should pay someone to poison you?
Think about it.

My favorite fruit is in season. Bing Cherries and they are awesome. Especially with the new found taste buds.

Just found out from the time I made my original post to today. Three more people quit at my company. I think because they saw everyone else was quit. :)
I think we only have about 10 smokers left here.
Just think, 10-20 years from now trying to tell kids that music used to come on Vinal and people used to put smoke in their lungs. They just wont believe us!

Well, it has been a month now so most cravings are pretty minor except the one I get when I start studying.
This one nags me pretty good and although they only last for a minute or so they seem to pop up quite frequently abt every 15-20 mins. Yes, I used to smoke while reading Cisco books studying for a new certification.
So now repeadedly when I pick up the book and start reading a major cravings strike.
Eating Pistachios, cherries, lifesavers and a deep breath helps tremendously. I do move on, there is no chance that I would ever even consider smoking again but I thought that this craving trigger would subside by now.
Anyone else get cravings when studying or reading?
What do you do for it?

Hit is the stomach sounds a bit severe but yes I too still get cravings.
But you must remember, when you smoked you got cravings too right?
Boarding the plane, "darn I had time for another smoke"
or
Gosh when will this movie be over so I can go out and have a smoke.
How about,
When is my break? Maybe I can sneek out and have a smoke and not get caught.
Were those not cravings too???
For me when I calculate it out, I actaully had fewer cravings now then when I WAS a smoker.
I am tired of cravings and that is why I will NEVER SMOKE AGAIN!!
Oh, except ribs and chicken on the grille of course ;p

You are Military Son.
STAND YOUR GROUND!
Besides the the cravings you are having now are not really cravings. The Nicotine has been out of your system for weeks now.
These are only mind games.
Deal with them like as you were trained!
