We're supposed to have great weather here in the Carolinas for BBQ, Boating or whatever, should be an awesome week.
Don't loose control on the drinking though, it can weaken your will power. We don't want to have any quit counters being reset!

yes, is normal to be tired.
Day 2 will be much easier than what you went though today.
Try and sleep really late into tomorrow morning if possible.
Drink a plenty of fluid, try and stay away from coffee and alcohol.
Eat Fruit.

Quite some time ago my boss and I had a dialog, it went something like this:
Me: Do you mind if I smoke?
Him: Do you mind if I fart?
Me: Yes
Him: Why?
Me: It stinks
Him: So does your smoking!
So, the wind you are experiencing maybe is 'Payback' from all those non-smokers that had to put up with the stink of smoking in the past! ;)

Stopped Chatix a couple days ago two weeks early.
Was planning on reducing by taking one a day but I'm just wanting to get this over with already.
I hope I will feel more rested in the morning and clearer head during the day. Well, today is day two off the stuff and although a bit more awake I am still tired. Now I know how a bear feels after hybernation. :confuse:
Kinda strange too, had a little caughing fit this morning in the shower I probably still have a bunch of crap in my lungs (how disgusting). You would think two months I would be okay but still feel some irritation in my throat and lungs on occasion. Suppose after 30 years of messing them up it will take time to clean up the damage.
I have no worries about EVER going back to smoking and have 2 weeks of Chantix behind a "Break glass in case of Emergency" but so glad to put this all behind me. I can FINALLY consider myself a NON-SMOKER!

Cigarettes are expensive up there Seamus.
What costs more, smoking 2 packs a day or leasing a car?

I must have been 4, I remember waking up one Christmas morning before everyone else was up except my dad. Came into the living room and he had the fireplace going and all the lights lit. To my excitement a big toy truck parked in to the side of the fireplace and piles of presents!
All our christmas's were memorable ones, for some reason this one stands out to this day.

Me too, feel very tired, thought going off the Chantix would help. It didn't even going to bed early. Think it made it worse. Wife told me I am not sleeping well due to apnea. I read that some anti-depressents can help with air flow. Chantix may fall into this category. So that with the combo of gaining weight = no sleep!!
I feel like a walking zombie. Getting really bad now, starting to worry about my driving. I hope when I get going with the Aerobics and other excercise my weight will drop and my sleep will improve.
Got an appt with my Doctor next week, will see what he says.

wow, you and your husband sound like me and Sue.
Maybe you too are an Aerosmith fan, as she is my "Partner in Crime" as we did the smoking and drinking thing for years and never smoked in the house.
I too have discovered a round nodule on my tounge, my dentist says it does not look cancerous but recommends I see a specialist for it which I plan to do so very soon.
Quiting smoking wont be very hard for you since you know what to expect. It's good you don't smoke in the house as that is your "Safe Place". Also before you quit I would suggest you stop smoking in your car as well. This will help remove cravings from when you get cut off in traffic and want a smoke.
Wish you the best of luck, just be sure to write down and review the reasons for quitting and be sure to stop by here.
It helped me to look at videos about the consequences of smoking (scare tactics) but that's just me.
Good luck!

I started waking up tired BEFORE I went off Chantix. Just started happening the past few weeks. I thought that after I would feel better. No difference.
I think the reason I feel so tired is due to the weight gain and think the aerobics will help.
Do you exercise and did you gain weight after you quit?
My Dr wanted me to quit smoking but urged me to start exercise regiment first. (I didn't)
Sue, I like the other photo of us better, this one you have now is when we were smokers!!! :8o:
