any tips ?

Hi, it's also available in the UK but under a slightly different name. I do recall reading that. It costs me about $99 a month - my pharmacy gave me a break! of $25. My insurance covers 5% if that. It's worth every penny. As for the naseua (sp?), I still have it at night. I try to lie down - I take it before bed. Good luck, hang in there with it, it pays off. Marie

Is being consumed with quitting common on day 1?

Thank you SO MUCH N2K. That was a very kind and thoughtful reply and another I'm saving into the journal I started today. Wow, the way you put it is astounding. I WAS 30 cigs a day for 30 years, I don't even want to know what million that is. Thank you for the tip on active discussions. I am humbled by the support here. The Junkie Within

Wow, incredible thread. I have to say, I was a bit shaken when I began to read it but I feel so much better for reading it. Ready to become a new person. Conash, you are right in the words you use about not being content. I'm finally conent. It's taken a long time, but I'm content with who I am becoming, being a happy person, Mom, wife, I've got it all, and I want to kill the junkie in me. I SET MY QUIT DAY

Thank you Trailbum for replying to my question that I posted in the wee hours last night. You are inspirational to me. I'm 30 years, 30 cigs a day. You're right, I was fooling myself thinking "well, I went down 28 cigs today, I did well"! For me it's all or none (I am getting the impression that it's like that for everyone! Thank you so much for taking the time to reply. Timetofindthewillpower, sorry for imposing on your thread and I will be looking for your updates. With best wishes. Would you like a mentor? (Take 2)

I would love to have a mentor and a friend to lean on here. I'll come back to see if anyone is interested. Marie I posted my introduction and have been prolific today but would not have gotten through the day without the support here. Guess this is where I belong now, consumed with how to NOT smoke ?

N2K, I know, I just read and re-read it! You're so kind and thoughtful for that amazingly in-depth reply. I will stay still now and figure out the workings of the board. Tomorrow is a work day so I won't get much time here, I'm trying to suck in as much of your suppport as I can to get me through until I can get back to lurk. I have to get my poor kid to bed now, I'm that consumed, but I'm here to stay, I just don't know where yet ;). Thanks for last night and is crying normal and cravings

Monica and Debbie, you're replies are also now in my journal, a printed sheet that I'll keep with me, on my fridge, near my desktop and my bed. I CAN"T WAIT TO BE HERE WITH A ONE NEXT TO MY NAME. And I couldn't have done it today if I hadn't of found this site last night. My boss, who is a difficult man, actually sent me an email that blew me away. He knows I smoke(d) didn't know I stopped yet again and the verse he put in was another entry in my journal. I have a journal! I never had a stop smoking journal. I love to laugh and will seek out those who are witty! And I don't mind a laugh at myself either. What a great day this has been. #81 Thanks! Is being consumed with quitting common on day 1?

I've been here almost all day reading and I just want to see if anyone out there was consumed with the thoughts of how to NOT smoke day 1, dreaming into 3 months, etc., etc. That's all I've done today, though I started this journey on December 24th. This is my real day one though. Also, if anyone can guide me, I'm not sure which board to post on. The craving and withdrawal boards seems quite similar to me. Is this a post that belongs on the withdrawal board? Thanks in advance.
