Luna, I spent a bit of time researching the connection cigarettes and drop in blood sugar as my doctor told me to eat to see if that would make me feel better re panic attack I thought I was having. Very interesting stuff! I'm a little tired and will read this thread again. Can I link a very interesting site I'm still digesting, do you know or is that against the rules anyone?
It also describes me - I never ate until dinner time. Coffee, Water, Tea and cigarettes were my mainstay.
Still amazed at what I'm learnning about tobacco and addiction generally. I thought I was having a panic attack yesterday but thinking back and following my doctor's orders, I think I had a very sharp drop in blood sugar.
I hope you're doing great and Luna, I cannot thank you and Kiwi for your immediate and continuted support (and everyone here!) - your two posts always seems to strike a chord in my brain (which has been dimented for a few weeks ;) .
Cheers and I hope you feel better and share tips with those who don't know much about the link between cigarettes, non smokers and blood sugar! I've been trying to eat small meals today. Changing food habits - I have no appetite, it's strange. Sorry babbling again!
Marie
Interesting, thank you for starting this! You are also experiencing many of the things I am, it's, well interesting ;), I'm going to be following you everywhere LOL.

Thanks. I'll come back and reply individually when I can see the screen with two eyes. My doctor questioned everything and said it could be either anxiety or a drop in blood sugar. I had some food and felt good enough to finish my day but absolutely wiped out. I didn't smoke, though it the craving was moderate; For those of you suffer from PT, thank you for sharing and everyone thanks.
Under a good deal of stress, sick Mom and very sick sister.

Good luck Jan, I've had incredible dreams as well, they almost make me tired when I wake up.
I won't ask what happened, but from reading your posts, I now see this stays with us for a very, very long time.
Congrats on jumping back on the horse.
Marie
Me, me, me and it's made this quit easier than my other attempts.
I love the dreams. I had stopped dreaming or remembering them.
Welcome and good luck and I was sick for the first week on Chantix and still get upset tummy but feel pretty good overall.

I mean, I get up and do what I need to do but my mind is still muddled at times and I'm tired all the time.
Much longer? My doctor said everyone is different, I know, but I hate this part so much.
Thanks in advance.

Hi Clovi, and welcome and best wishes in your quit. I'm new here - I found reading, researching and keeping up on my glove compartment and the tools incredibly hepful to my quit.

Just don't become like me - the former me - smoking at age 40 plus (44) and for 30 years, longer than you joined mankind :) - More experienced members will have more to add, but a big welcome and good luck.

I wonder how NewPapa is doing! I have not seen an update since the big day.
For me, I'm on an honest day 12. i feel ok. I've had a few arguments with my husband (also quit 12 days). I lose patience easily. But I walked down the street singing and happy last night.
The Chantix is really amazing for me and I love the side affect of vivid dreams. My cough has improved.
The only bad news is the volume of work I'm handling in a start up company. I have 10 Chiefs of XYZ (titles, titles, everyone has to have a title!!) ;) but coping. I did tell my boss tonight tht I am pondering whether or not I can continue. I'm nervous how he will react but c'est la vie. My quit is so much more important, jobs are easy(ier) to come by (I hope anyway!).
I'm eating a TON OF SUGAR the last 2 days.
Next :)
