hi Milaya,
You sound like I did. Every reason to justify to keep smoking. Sheila is right its that darn nicodemon talking. You are strong. You have made a good decision. Its the best time for you to prove to yourself you can do it. If you can get threw this so early in your quit you will be able to get threw anything.
You are almost threw the hardest 3 days in your life. Do you really want to give in and do them all over again? Thats what keeps me going when im stressed. Those first 3 days were hard and under no circumstances do I want to go threw that again.
Stay strong. We are here to support you. Post as much as you need. Cry, Scream just like Sheila said. Do whatever it takes to get you threw these hardest days of your life.

So this has to be one of my worst days yet. I got up this morning after not sleeping well last night, but I have my baby on a great schedule so when it come 6:30am she really doesn't care that I didn't go to bed till 3:30 am.
Today I felt like heart was beating really fast and it was making it hard for me to breath. I tried to take a nap when the baby napped cause that has always worked for me in the past when I was feeling this way, but not today. I couldn't fall asleep.
So I did the next best thing that was recommended to me from all my support on SSC. I drank lots of Ice water and did some deep breathing. That didn't help either. It just made me pee more often. I was walking around my house trying to keep busy and felt like was a zombie on auto pilot.
Finially about 4:00pm this afternoon I finially was able to lay down and take a nap. I slept till it was supper time about 6:30.
I'm having a gathering at my house tomorrow for easter and I didn't get a thing done today. My house has toys scattered about and the more I think about my wasted day the less energy I have.
I need some other Idea's to get me threw a day like today. I didn't feel like I needed to smoke but I have a feeling my hubby was wishing I was (not really he's always been a non-smoker and is so excited for me).
I read alot on SSC today and bumped an old post I found usefull for us that are early in our quit.
I still having some of that racing heart action and im still deep breathing any other suggestions??

Luna and Lady,
Thanks so much. Now I have tears from reading your posts. I have always been the strong one so now feeling like the weak one is another hard thing for me to except.
I am super mom and I usally do things myself and don't ask for much help. I usally figure the time it takes me to ask or tell somone else to do I would have it already done myself.
Im not going to worry about the house tonight. Since I know baby will get me up early I will have from 6:30am till 2:00pm to get ready. I just usally like to be more prepaired than this.
I sent my hubby out to get some movies and to get me a banana split. Then we are going to spend the rest of the night together. He has been so great threw all this and is always asking me what I want or what I need. I just don't usally have an answer for him. I don't know what I want or what I need to make me feel better sometimes.
I know I can do this and really can't even believe I have made it this far. I know I will never be able to be a social smoker so im in the N.O.P.E. Club.
Thanks again

Welcome bmom,
You have found a great place to be to start your quit. I didn't find this site till I was quit for 1 week. I also quit cold turkey but didn't cut back in preparation. The more I thought the more I smoked so I just jumped in with both feet and its been a ride ever since. The first 3 days I slept ALOT. I still do, when im feeling stressed or just have that "can't deal" feeling I just go take a nap. Tell the hubby he's in charge of the kids and I take the time I need to pull myself back together.
Everyone is great here. Post offen and let us know how your doing. Good or bad we are all here for you.

Hey Lake
You are the awsome one. Living with a smoker, I just can't amagine. People ask me how long I smoked. I tell them all my life. Both my parents smoked and they smoked in the house, In the car. I hated it so much as a child. I remember being in a car filled with smoke. I would beg for my father to open a window. Living in Minnesota his repley to me would be. Open your own window. Well now even more of the smoke came my way. I just couldn't win.
At the age of 12 I started smoking. My parents never knew for a long time. I smoked in my bedroom but when you live in a smoke filled house. I more person smoking really didn't matter.
Im proud of you Lake we are close in our quit dates. Keep it up like all the BIG QUITTERS say here Stay Strong!!

Thanks sunshine,
I will keep that in mind. They are leaving tomorrow afternoon so its not for a long weekend. My quit has been pretty easy so far but I have been reading and the ones that have the easy quit usally has it harder down the road.
Im starting to prepair myself that at anytime this quit could start to be hard. I quit cold turkey and I do believe its all a mind game and if you are in the right state of mind you can stay strong.
Im not giving in now. I want a new car for my 6 month reward.

The thing I love the most: I would smoke outside and my little girl would sit at the slidding glass door and so want her mommy but that darn cigarette was more important, but NOT ANYMORE. I will never have to be seperated from her again.
