Hello Sunshine,
Im starting to not a night owl. My first few weeks of my quit, when I was stressed I would nap. That turned into not being able to sleep at night. Im starting to not need my nap anymore. :)

I feel that im getting stronger every day. This weekend will be a true test for me. We have some friends that are spending the weekend and they are smokers. When they first arrived at my house tonight, the first thing I thought of was. Oh my is that what I really smelt like after I came back into my house after smoking. It smelt so bad. It didn't give me a craving it made me stronger in my quit.
I only have 2 friends left that smoke so im hoping they will jump on the quit program soon. Even my friend tonight mentioned that all her smoking buddies are quiting.
I was a little worried about this weekend, just knowing there would be a pack of cigarette's in my house but after they walked threw the door all my worries went away.
Have a great weekend

So I am almost a month into my quit. Over all its been pretty easy except for my mood swings. I know this is normal and I am aware that I'm very short at times but I think my hubby is at his wits end.
Its starting to affect our communication and over all happiness. I am so short with him at times I feel like he has started to just not say nothing at all so I won't yell or be short with him.
Its gotten very quiet in our house the last few days cause he's not talking so I won't yell and im not talking cause I fell ticked off all the time. We are 2 people in the same house acting as we are in separate homes doing our own thing.
I need help and ideas on how to deal with this. I have talked to him before and apologized for me being short and I know he knows it won't last forever and that is something we need to go threw to get to the next step but he has never had an addiction and has NO CLUE what its like for me each and every day.

Hey Shelly,
Rewards are hard for me also. I usally don't treat myself. I have done a few things.
1.Biggest reward is taking time for myself without kids
2. I took my kids to a photo shot and had a blast
3. Today we are getting a sitter and going to the dollar movies
4. Next weekend for my 1 month, I asked my hubby to take me out to dinner to some place we have never went. Didn't have to be expensive just somthing different and rememberable.
Im trying to save money so my rewards are not big. Even if you reward yourself to a long hot bath. Just tell yourself its your reward or treat and your brain will treat it as one.

Hang on Shelly
Im having a hard weekend also. I posted earlier today also. It must be just that time to go threw it. You won't lose it. Go read your post on how to deal with cravings and withdraws. I look at that all the time.
Hang tough, I know you can do it. Do some deep breathing or take a nap. That is what works the best for me.
Keep in mind it's just that darn nicodemon trying to take away our quit after we have made it this far with not many bumps in the road.
I will be breathing with you

Hey Gal,
I know what that feeling is like also. Im still new in my quit and those thoughts go threw me head all the time. I also think about doing what you just did but every person that has done that they all say the same thing.
Whatever this horrible feeling I had was, didn't get better with the cigs, and it didn't help. I knew it wouldn't
So gal get back up on that horse and start again. Just stay strong and tell yourself you can do this and that it doesn't get better.
Its hard for me everyday to drive past the gas station. I don't even like stopping for gas.
