Headaches

I have been having alot a headaches since my quit. Does anyone know if this is normal or is this somthing I should be concerned about. Last night it even woke me in the middle of the night. I got up took some Ibuprofin and went back to sleep. It seems like im taking ibuprofin 1 to 3 times a day. I would also like some cheap reward ideas. Im trying to save most of my smoking money for a new car. I also wanted to mention how excited my friends and co-workers are about my quit. I didn't realize how much people really do care about my health. Hello

Hello Fran, Congrats on your 5 days. Im not that far ahead of you so I know how you are feeling. I didn't tell anyone that I was quitting either. My hubby didn't know for 2 days and my step daughter didn't notice but I told her and she was so excited for me. Slowly I have been telling more but I was a week into my quit before any of my family knew. Now they call and check on me and are just so excited and supportive. Tell everyone because they will be there when you need them the most. Headaches

Thanks so much for all the idea's. I have started walking every morning before work and I have also found a 10 minute work out CD that I do before my walk each morning. It feels so great to be able to do these things without being so short of breath. Plus the nice cool New Mexico Mornings are just grand. Hi Sammo, I am a new member here also. I quit cold turkey 9 days ago. Its been a roller coaster but the support you will find here is great. I also smoked for 20 years and was very short of breath. That was one of the things that made up my mind to stop. Keep strong and set a quit date and everyone will be here to support you. Great Day Thanks to YOU

Hi, Today is a much better day for me so since I'm in a better state of mind I thought I would properly introduce myself. I was a smoker for 20 plus years. I quit one time in the past but it didn't last long but I didn't want to quit at that time either. When I quit 10 days ago cold turkey I was ready. I grew up with smoking parents and I hated it and I didn't want my daughter to have a smoking mom. I am also considering having 1 more baby and I really didn't want to smoke while I was pregnant this time. My daughter came 5 weeks early and we don't have a reason for her being a premature baby but I'm sure the smoking was a part of it. The last 9 days have been a roller coaster. I have some great days like today where I don't even remember why I liked being a smoker, then I have days like yesterday that all I do is cry and and have uncontrollable feelings. After spending the last couple of days reading here, I have found that everything that's happening is all normal and that I have it better than some and worse than others. You all have given me the strength to know that I can do this and that the days to come will only get better with less and less bumps in the road. Thanks for all the encouraging words yesterday.
