Ok im off
I printed my reasons for my quit. I have a bunch of pictures of my little girl. I figured if I wanted to light up I would look at her picture instead. I also am taking this list of resturants that my hubby made for me yesturday so I can pick where he is going to take me tomorrow for my 30 day aniversary. I feel better already.
Plus I know I will have to come home and tell you how it went and I don't wan't to have to give you the bad news. So like joyful always said to come post before you give in.

Hey Butterfly,
I think every day I can have just one. But I also know if I have just one I will become a full time smoker. My friend is a not a smoker and would probably drag me out of the casino if she saw me light up. I just remember how muck I loved to smoke when I was at the casino. I also think that if I can go the casino and not smoke I will never lose my quit.

I just had a friend call me. She wants to meet for breakfast at the casino. I LOVE THE CASINO. I also loved smoking at the casino. I have not been to the casino since my quit.
Any suggestions on how to crave the quit while im there. Other than just not going??
Thanks

Way to go Cuddles,
I admire all of you quiters that live with smokers. You are alot stronger than I could be. I only put myself around smokers once a week and thats more than enough for me.
Cuddles you are doing great and are so strong. Keep the quit it will get easier. I see you took a nap one day. That is still my best way to deal with my crave. I sleep it away.
Congrats on Day 6

OH my im laughing so hard at this thread. I had to bump it up. I am also suffering from this problem. I have also noticed that im starting to have normal bowl movements. I'm so surprised that smoking does all these funky things to your body.

I DID IT, I DID IT
So first off, I never knew the casino stunk so bad. First thing I did is went and got a bottle of water. After we ate I went and checked out the non smoking area. No fun machines in that area. I felt good about myself and thought. "I Can Do This".
I found a good machine and 4 hours later I thought. WOW I really can do this. I think im going to make it as a non smoker. People came and went. Some smoked some didn't. One man smoked a cigar but not me.
When I left (broke) but a still a non smoker I felt so good. 6 weeks ago when I was at that casino I smoked an entire pack of cigaretts in those 4 hours. As I walked to my car. I pulled out the picture of my beautiful little girl. Kissed it and said its all for you baby.

I read a post a few days ago about someone who had went to see there parents that are in there 70's that still smoke. It really hit home for me and has been laying heavy on my heart ever since.
I need to ask a huge favor. I would like your stories so that I can print them and send them to my father.
My father is in his mid 60's and smokes probably about 2 packs a day. He has smoked since he was a young boy. I fear that I am going to get a call one day and he will be gone. I have a young daughter who really needs to know her grandfather.
My little girl is a year and a half. I have made the trip from New Mexico to Minnesota 2 times since she was born. My mother has came to New Mexico once but my father will not fly. Both my grandfathers had passed away before I was born and one of my grandmother passed when I was 5 the other when I was 16. I felt so cheated.
Over the years I have watched my parent smoke and I joined them. Last time I visited my parents, I listened to my father cough all night. Sitting in a chair or sitting on the sofa. He doesn't sleep much if at all due to all the coughing. He is overweight and is also a diabetic. At my last visit his legs we very swollen and was hard for him to get his shoes on.
I'm not sure it will change anything or that he will do anything to change his life but at least he will know it is possible to do and that people his age with similar situations have succeed.
My quit has really put me in touch with my feelings and emotions. I want my father to live a long life. I want my little girl to know her grandfather.
Please Help
