tina3869, i wrote a long winded & confusing reply to your post & got myself all worked up, so i ended up trashing it ! :quest:
all i can say is .. yeah it's tough - work or no work, it wears us all down.
Try to adopt the attitude that whatever you do or whereever you are.. If you don't want to smoke - dont !.
Day will eventually be less of a struggle.

Mr Ed,
Goble, Goble, Goble !
Cold Yurkey & Allen Carr, the moment of revelation is a wonderfull thing !.
I tried NRT(s) before & failed miserably, fortunately i 'saw the light' so to speak.
I feel happy, comfortable & most important, 'at piece' with myself.

what do you mean at first ?
If provoked i can be a real b#@%d, but then again they probably deserved it.
They will just have to get used to it, your emotions are currently being thrashing about cos you're getting over some serious brain washing.
Physical addiction was just a tiny wee part of our quits, the brain & our emotions need to be re-programmed to enable us to stay non-smokers.
keep cleaning that house & or exercise.

yes, especially at work.
i just keep harping on & on & on about it untill something gets done or the person in question gets it sorted - no need to bottle it up.
I don't care what anyone thinks anymore.. this is the new me + it works all the time !
what i recommend though is exercise, exercise & more exercise it shure beats the frustration out of your system..

Buy them a copy of Allen Carr's 'Easy way to stop smoking' & leave it at that, if they want your help they will ask for it.
if you tell a smoker to give up, they will smoke more !
remember.....

Stopping smoking is damn easy.
I recommend you read Allen Carr's ' Easy way to stop smoking' & see what i mean.
believe me it aint that hard, there is a lot of product swamping the market, this is to damn confusing for a quitter.
i tell you this... the addiction is an extremely minor part of the quitting....

i'm going to be bashed for telling you this, but hey..
it's the truth !

o.k., so i used this in a previous post but reacon this may clear up a few mis-conceptions..
I personally know someone who tried to stop smoking using.....
the patch, Gum, the patch & gum, the patch & Gum + cigarettes, 2 x Hypno & 2 x Cold turkey's all in the space of 2 years, this does not include previous failed attempts over the 15 years of addiction.
It goes to show, no matter what you're cure.. you need some serious Amo to tackle this thing head on !
I guess Knowledge & the right frame of mind goes a long way to kicking this sucker up the butt.
Knowledge is power so Go hard all you nicotine fighting junkies !

i probably wasn't to clear on my original post . so let me start this thing off.
1) i made a pact with myself.... "i will stop smoking for at least one year even if it kills me"
one & a bit years later i'm still alive & 'smoke-free'
2) i'm going to stay a non-smoker cos i really love the person that i've become.
