Monday Morning Stats Parade

Thank you Kaiser. Great ride you have there too... I am saving my rewards for the 6 months - plan to buy me a new seat/lowering kit... That will help me stay smoke-free as it's kinda hard to ride and smoke at the same time... lol.

Hi my name is Lance

Welcome aboard, Lance! I am new to this too but the guys here are so supportive and the knowledge about all withdrawal symptoms so extensive that it is hard not to quit. Look at some of the stats here and you too will think you can do this!
Congratulations for your decision.

day 1

Read, read, read... Think again what made you want to quit in the first place. And remember: breathing exercises are your best friend right now. You can do this! I'll just tell you what I've been told: first week is called Hell Week for a reason! But it will get better!

This is what smoking can do to you

Pat,
I am SO grateful that you chose to share this awful tragedy with us. It helps. It helped me realize, more than ever, that this is the path I want to stay on. Like you, I have lost my ex-husband (not to addiction but to suicide...) so, in my mind, even though I am re-maried, I am the only one that my daughter has in this world. So this one is for her. She already lost a parent - cannot let her go through life without me around.
Thank you and God Bless you and your family!

day 1

Lance,
I bet there are so many folks here that kept on quitting and starting, over and over again! But, at one point, they quit. For goos. And stayed quit. I cannot seem to find one that says it was easy. But it is do-able! For me is chewing gum and stir-sticks, together with the patch. I am not over the habit part of smoking, but I am getting there. One minute at a time. And it feels good. You can do it too!

IT'S TUESDAY!

You see duffis,
For "mortals" like myself, people like you seem like Gods! That's what gives me hope - I look at your stats and know that there is hope - if you could do it, I can too! Thank you for being such an inspiration.

A lIttle Concerned

Brenda,
I am using the Wii Fit and just ordered Wii Fit Plus. I have to admit I am a big fan - that is what got me going. The Yoga exercises are great; Strength is pretty good for your legs/hips - not much on the upper body, but still good; Aerobics - Free Step and Free Run - I am having a blast with; also the Hula Hoop - you get to break a sweat, on these; Balance part is more so you can say you had some fun in all this. But for me, it is a great one - gets me going without boring me to death. It's the first time in more than 15 years that I am sticking to a daily routin - I have 40 days now. Every day for about 45 minutes, weekend about 1 1/2 hours. Try it if you can. You might like it as well. And it is way cheaper than a personal trainer... Hope this helps

A lIttle Concerned

Just read a review for Wii Fit Plus - maybe that will help too (Can you tell I am bias when it comes to chosing exercise routines??? But, as I said earlier - this is what worked for ME - I am lazy (sic) and don't have lots of money...)
Good luck
Cristina
