Good job Tabbyth... I can see how empowered you feel now that you are kicking the nicodemon's ash without any help whatsoever. I still have about three weeks of the patches and I'll see how it feels then...

I found it really helpful to go through My Program, set my quit date and once started see how tose days add up. Check on the possible triggers and find what your best coping mechanisms would be... So, start by saying NOPE and get it going. It sure is worth it

Without any doubt I would not have 45 days under my belt if I would not have found SSC.
The "what" is simple - the patch. It is also the right timing - even though it never seems like a good time to quit .... I used to find so many reasons NOT to quit. This time, I just did it.
The "who" - I was talking about the SSC family here, the ones that keep you going through the rough patches and pat you on the back for your achievements - whether they are 1 day, 30 days or 500... That seems to do the trick every time for me. I have a couple of people that I feel watch over my quit. And those are the ones I feel I don't want to let down if I slip, relapse or lose my quit completely. So even if I am grateful for each and everyone of you guys, my heroes are Tresa and Impalamania - you guys are awesome!!! And of course, the one that has my back at home, my 10 y.o daughter - says I make her proud... awww.

I "heard" the determination in your postings since the first day. There will be ups and downs... but you can do it. Hey, I'll take that back. You ARE doing it

Hey Lance. I feel for you. I thought that living with one smoker is bad... that's nothing compared with what you're going through... For me it works if I just get out of the house: for a walk, the store... something. Smelling the fresh air, breathing in... yeah, the reminder of WHY I chose to quit.
