Hi newme I have been considering Yoga for some time but as I am not very sporty or fit I was a bit wary of whether I would manage it? I can't do aerobics due to poor old knee probs so I was looking at something more gentle. After reading your posts I have decided to give it a go-will let you know how I get on.

Hi Ron I am just really going to second what all the other guys have said that whatever way you choose is the right way for you.
I read your post and its thorough and very detailed and you have obviously thought long and hard about preparing for your quit (which is half the battle over)
I too read Allen Carr's book and loved it as he doesnt preach and he's on our side- but although his words were great grounding for me preparing for my quit I felt that my best chance was if I was on the patches and sticking to the 12 week programme and, I am happy to say, its working for me.
Also as I often say the support and encouragement from this site was invaluable and I can't tell you enough to drop by regularly to share all you are experiencing- good or not so good, as I can guarantee one of us will know exactly what you mean.
Good Luck Ron- you can/will do it!!

Hey Crik- good for you getting to day 4- so pleased for you.
I understand all your sentiments about smoking, to feel relaxed to have fun etc, but I once read somewhere that a smoker smokes to feel how a non-smoker feels all the time- think about it, its true what Rusty said, smoking only makes us feel calm and relaxed because it has quashed the craving. In time we start to feel anxious and agitated and needing to get the next cigarette- non-smokers never have that.
And Crik, that non-smoker is now you, four days down is so good, any ex-smoker will agree with that, heck I thought four hours was brilliant for me!!
Keep it up Crik and holler if you need help.

Theresa, you were amazing! the resolve and determination you showed won through in the end and you did walk away from the temptation and you didnt give in.
I think you feel down and weepy because you think you showed weakness, when all of us here thinks quite the opposite that you showed remarkable strength.
Theresa, you are almost at your second week!! can you believe that! so hang on in there and keep winning!
