Lisa O'Gobs!  How are you doing? I saw you post over on Loripie's thread and I just wanted to shout over to you that YOU'RE DOING GREAT!!  Keep the power in your court.  Gird your loins for battle and grind a fine edge on to that sword to slice and dice the Nicotine addiction which has been plaguing your life up to now!!

Hi Lisa
You are on the right track! Come here as much as possible, read all you can and post whenever you feel necessary. Get your quit meter up and running, as this will help you with tough times. It is something to be proud of for me and something I don't want to have to set back to zero. Use the tools and resources above to help you with what to expect etc. during your quit. At first I slept a lot and cleaned and organized. Keeping my hands and mind busy were key, as well as not dwelling on the negative things re:quitting. Like how hard it is or how bad it sucked. Keep that stuff out of your head and think of how your hair no longer smells or your clothes. Anyway, best wishes with your quit, hoping to see you around lots!

Lisa!!!!!  You are doing BEAUTIFULLY!!!!!  I am SO proud of you posting and posting - WAY TO GO!!!!

During the first 30 days during the workweek for me I spent almost 100% of my time on here!  lol!  If someone gave me a project I either did it right away or put the sucker in my in box for later.  Do your coworkers know about your quit?  Are they supporting you?  I am pretty lucky in the support I am getting from my office mates, it helps.  Just keep doing what you are doing, because CLEARLY it IS working girl!!!!!

Lisa,

As you can see from all of the posts, you have so much support and encouragement available to you on this site. As the members said, take the time to look around the site and familiarize yourself with the tools and the program.
You have already made it through the first 24 hours, you can do this!
Let us know how you are doing,

Hi, Lisa... you're almost finished with Day 1 then!  This is great... can you maybe chew a little slower on the gum ( I know it's hard) but my experience was that the nicotine in the gum , piece after piece, just made me hyper and thus more agitated... BUT, in the long run, whatever makes you stay away from cigarettes is serving you well right now...   Did you get a chance to read the messages from "Joe Cool"?  Just look at the top of this page and click on "Search messages" to find his posts....
