Trooper, really consider what bj suggests, the Allen Carr book- its not a preachy kind of book, its written by an ex 100 a day smoker who knows every trick in the book- he writes with wit and never once is he lecturing or condesending in fact hes quite the opposite- he says we know what we are doing dont patronise us.
Personally, I couldnt quit using that alone, but some of the stuff he writes really makes you think and its yet another tool that helps with quitting.
I know you'll do it eventually, I just know it, some people just take a little more time. Big ((hugs)) today, Karren xx

Hi Ron! yes picking the quit day is a toughie! I picked a Saturday because I work Saturdays and I am always busy and so figured I wouldn't dwell on the quit too much. I just felt that if I was at home I wouldn't have as many distractions and could choose to break the quit at any time whereas at work that opportunity would be unlikely to happen.
I was dreading Sunday- but as I do my weekly food shop on a Sunday and then go visit with my mother I pretty much tried to fill the day up.
Good Luck with your choice Ron, you know 'you' better than anyone and you'll know which probably is the safest day to choose.

Theresa- thank you, you dont know how touched I was to read your post. You're right this community is very special, I honestly think alot of strength comes from our unity as a group- everyone is genuinely willing the others to succeed, and it does feel good to be able to say exactly how one feels without fearing judgement or repercussions.
I hope we all remain 'friends' for many years to come.

Hi Wazz- congratulations on 3 days CT- that takes some doing so well done to you.
Dont you find the dreams strange?? I did, and I quite enjoyed mine as surreal as they were (mine were all really violent and I am the least violent person in the world -maybe it was my alter ego) but as Patrick says they dont last too long!
Keep calling in here Wazz and letting us know how you're doing everyone is so behind you wanting you to succeed.
Good Luck and stay strong and focused.
