For sure we have days like that, Paula. Isn't it great that we understand that having a smoke will not do a damn thing to change that?! Another tic in the box for Tai Chi, Yoga and meditation to deal with stress...

Hi Paula,

On the reply to NewMe, thank you for that great advice.

Stay well and strong.  Keep that gaurd up, choose not to light up and have that half case of bottled water on hand for driving.

ICL,

Keep fighting! No matter the problem, smoking is not the answer.

Congrats on 4 weeks!

Hang in there Paula I'm at week 11 and it seems like after week 6 the craves have become very minimal, like you back at 4 weeks or so I was having very strong ones, I hope your days start getting easier.

Hi guys,

Tommorrow, I will be entering into week four. I have never been there before without any slips. This is the longest that I have been smoke and nicotine free in 11 years (I can't believe I started smoking at the age of 13! I was just a kid! Don't know where I got the money). Well anyways, I'm a bit scared. I've been feeling a bit down and I have been fighting serious craves all day. I don't trust myself at the moment and in a way I am happy to admit it, I'm acknowledging a danger. I'm on the road all day tommorrow so won't be able to post until the evening but I think I'll bring a pen and paper with me and just jot down  some stuff if its bothering me.

Its strange, I just feel so anxious, tense and have a really tight feeling in my throat and chest. I need to stay calm, but worst case scenario, I still have the unused nicotine inhaler in my purse. That will be my worst case scenario, I promise.

Paula
