I'm new here and my quit date is February 20th.
I have tried to quit twice before and failed both times.
This time I really want to quit.
I smoke about 10 cigarettes a day and have smoked for 32 years.
I hope this site will help.
Hi My name is Meg and I have been smoking for 32 years. I have changed my quit date a couple of times since I found this site. But I think I'm ready..I'm really nervous because I have tried to quit before. I saw my doctor last week and got the Nicotrol inhaler. Now I almost can't wait for my quit date :) Anyway, I'll check back in and let you all know how I'm doing. Take care.
To all of you who replied to this post....Thank you so much...I can't even begin to tell you how much I know this site will help me with my quit. My quit day is tomorrow and this morning I woke up in a state of panic. But I'm feeling better after reading your messages and can't wait for tomorrow.
(Actually I only have one cigarette left and am NOT going to buy anymore.)
Again thank you to all for being there for me. I'll let you know how I'm doing tomorrow. :)
Hi Terry,
Congratulations! You're doing great. I'm only on day 4 so you and others on this site are a great inspiration for me. Keep up the great work!!!

Thanks Terry and you are right...every other time I have quit I haven't even made it through 1 day let alone 4!! I feel great today.
And by the way, I think I know you....summer of 2005 I worked for a very short time for a construction company? Was that you that I am thinking of? Your picture is sooo familiar.

Hi Terry, What a small world :) I am still working at the manufacturing company and doing good. My boss will pay me $100 if I stay smoke free for one year. I plan on staying smoke free for the rest of my life but I'll still take the $100. Congrats again on day 23 and here's to many more smoke free days ahead. Maybe I'll see you around ;)
