Dear StuBow What Cuddles said hit me. Maybe it will hit you too. Most of us have lost someone to the horrible smoking addiction. But for me.....I just never cared if I died from lung cancer. HOWEVER......Once I picture myself being the person that cuddles had to carry out to the car. Once I picture the hurt and sadness I bring to cuddles soul.......that my friend was my motivation to stop smoking. I never want to bring that kind of pain on to anyone that loves me. Although not intentional......its just down right selfish. I know my people that died from this horrible addiction did not mean to intentionally hurt me, but they did. And it is my job to stop the wicked circle of this addition. I am stopping the cycle now for my family and friends. I am sure that's what "they" would want. Come back to us StuBow, we can do this. Hi StuBow! I am on the boards and the IM usually until after lunch time (PST). I am 3 hours behind what these boards say. That is until Fall comes around again, and I have to change my clock back............ Anyways, please yell out at me. I am here to help you in any way I can. Please, please, reach out first next time!!!!!!!!! Have you seriously thought about your previous attempts and slips?? What keeps driving you to light up? What are your triggers? How can you avoid them next time? Develop a new plan. Refer to them every time you have a craving. Print them out. Embed them into your brain!!!!!!! And definately, find a new route home...... That store just jumps out at you on the way home..... Anyhow, CONGRATULATIONS on getting right back up!! Stay strong, and reach out to us!!!!!!
