lets make a list of the positive aspects of quitting. It will boost our spirits

I think I scheduled my life, work around smoke breaks. If I had a meeting I had to decide if I was going to pee or smoke, no time for both, the insanity of the choices I made at times. Pulling into a rest area for a smoke because we didn't smoke in DH's car. I love my breath now, my skin, my energy, my new found time, the way I smell, I going to whiten my teeth.....it is all good news over here :) Great thread :0 My Milage: My Quit Date: 5/2/2007 Smoke-Free Days: 41 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 410 Amount Saved: $71.75 Life Gained: Days: 3 Hrs: 23 Mins: 24 Seconds: 51

JDK Thread #4

Awesome news :) My fave reward was getting my teeth whitened!! I actually already had the positioners from my dentist and last week he sold me some dental bleach. We went to the beach saturday and in the photo my teeth looked so yellow I almost deleted the photo. After one treatment they look whiter already. How about a new book, do you like to read? There are a lot of new books coming out this summer I am excited about. Stay Strong I know you will do this!!! Need my March Mellow Family!

Bobbi, just remember smoking is not an option anymore, look forward and not back. Look through the work book again, exrecise, etc.... Stay strong Bobbi, be proud of those stats and keep them going. JDK Thread #4

Kev, gotcha on the tea thing, I am half-Brit on my Mum's side, but as I am American I drink it cold ;) but I used to love it with milk!! Well the dentist quoted me $276 US, but then reminded me I had these trays and then sold me the bleach to use in them for $12 ea, but they also sell in the grocery and drug stores Crest Whitestrips and other kits that come with the molds to form to your teeth, my DH has one of those - but I think if it makes you feel better it is totally worth it. I am doing it again after dinner tonight. Even if you aren't a reader, per se, you could get a book on tape perhaps? Just thinkin' hang tough Kev ;) Sue My Milage: My Quit Date: 5/2/2007 Smoke-Free Days: 47 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 470 Amount Saved: $82.25 Life Gained: Days: 4 Hrs: 12 Mins: 44 Seconds: 19

Paris and cigarettes

MK, I had the same thing with a balcony at the beach the week we quit. Dh and I would always go on the balcony, have a drink, look at the beach. Dh thought of other things for us to do on that balcony :D I have new memories now, and you will too. Buy some wine, french breach and brie and snack out there! The fight is over, stalemate.

yeah but you can address the weight loss far easier than battling cancer or other issues caused by cancer. I have to imagine weight is easier to lose than get new lungs. I have always had weight issues also, and honestly the better I feel, the easier I breathe now, the more I want to exercise and eat right. Just begin, and I think you will find the craves will ease up a bit. I know it is hard. do you have healthy snacks on hand? Are you able to exercise a couple of times a week? I hope you feel better Try :) Sue My Milage: My Quit Date: 5/3/2007 Smoke-Free Days: 48 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 480 Amount Saved: $84.00 Life Gained: Days: 4 Hrs: 15 Mins: 3 Seconds: 2
